Schecter is breaking new musical ground with their Slim Line Series of electric guitars. Designed with an ultra-thin, lighting fast neck and a sleek contoured body, the Blackjack SLS C-1 FR Sustainiac is armed with a Seymour Duncan Full Shred bridge pickup and Sustainiac neck pickup, a Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking tremolo, and Schecter locking tuners. Elegant design appointments include a "Hell's Gate Skull" inlay on its ebony fretboard, and the entire guitar is adorned with black chrome hardware.
3-Piece maple neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3-Piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3-piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.
Satin finish and Ultra-Thin profile
The SLS collection features a satin finish neck for lightning fast playing above and below the 12th fret, an Ultra Thin neck profile (19mm at 1st fret/ 20mm at 12th fret), and new Ultra Access neck joint shape for easier access to the last frets.
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long sustain.
Seymour Duncan Full Shred and Sustainiac pickups
The Full Shred contains double rows of Allen screw pole pieces help fine tune the high end, leaving a tone that's fat and chunky, yet perfectly defined for speed riffs. The Sustainiac driver/pickup produces beautiful humbucker tones when the sustain switch is off, and works as the Sustainiac Driver when switched on. The Sustainiac Driver creates an infinite feedback sustain of string vibrations by electromagnetic feedback.
Schecter locking tuning machines
These tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.
Hell's Gate Skull inlay
The Mother of Pearl 'Hell's Gate Skull' inlay compliments the beautiful ebony fretboard. The thin white binding strip adds a nice highlight.
Case sold separately.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack SLS C-1 FR Sustainiac Electric Guitar:
Would be 5 stars but haven't had it long enough. First thing ripped the factory strings off and swapped out the Full Shred bridge pickup for a Duncan Distortion. Pure preference for the pup switch. Tuned to D . Action is great. Didn't have to do anything to modify it. If you like low action it is great. Tuning stability is pretty good for general playing. Seem to lose a bit of that when using the tremolo system. Maybe just some break in needed. Not bad though. Running Heavy Top Skinny Bottom Ernie Ball strings. Overall very happy with this guitar. Chose this over the Blackjack C-1 FRS. That had the nazgul bridge pickup and a straight 14 inch rad neck. That is awesome for rhythm playing but didn't buy it for that. More for the sustainiac toy. Although it holds its own on rhythm as well. Plays similar to a Schecter Banshee. Get one and lose yourself for hours with the sustainiac!
