Schecter is breaking new musical ground with their Slim Line Series of electric guitars. Designed with an ultra-thin, lighting fast neck and a sleek contoured body, the Blackjack SLS C-1 FR Active is armed with a pair of active Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups, a Floyd Rose 1000 Series locking tremolo, and Grover tuners. Elegant design appointments include a "Hell's Gate Skull" inlay on its ebony fretboard, and the entire guitar is adorned with black chrome hardware.
3-Piece maple neck
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3-Piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3-piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.
Satin finish and Ultra-Thin profile
The SLS collection features a satin finish neck for lightning fast playing above and below the 12th fret, an Ultra Thin neck profile (19mm at 1st fret/ 20mm at 12th fret), and new Ultra Access neck joint shape for easier access to the last frets.
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long sustain.
Seymour Duncan Blackout active pickups
Blackouts capture the tone that players want in an active design using balanced inputs. The result is 12dB to 14dB less noise, plus more lows, highs, and output.
Grover tuning machines
The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.
Hell's Gate Skull inlay
The Mother of Pearl 'Hell's Gate Skull' inlay compliments the beautiful Ebony fretboard. The thin white binding strip adds a nice highlight.
Case sold separately.

I have owned this guitar for about a month now. I researched for about a year before looking for a mahogany body, ebony fretboard, active pickups, thin neck for shredding and a cool look. This had everything I was looking for in my price range! The sound is thick and the Blackout pickups do not sound sterile. They are very warm and have alot of power. I like the look of the guitar though I am not crazy about the skull inlay on the 12th fret. But the guitar looks awesome! I've got many compliments from people who have seen me up on stage. The Floyd Rose is very reliable and the strings were in tune right out of the box! This is a high quality guitar that feels and plays like a $1500+ guitar! Good weight, comfortable neck and great sound! You will like it!
