Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack C-1 Electric Guitar:

...you'll surely find this to be the sort of thing you go in for. I got mine used at GC for 1/2 what they cost new. The Med. Jumbo wire was played down to about 'Low Wide', but I looked it up and it had a pair of SD JBs worth more than 1/2 what they were asking for it. So, mine's pretty good, actually. The 5-way for 2 HBs goes:
1)Neck HB
2)inside coils of both [hum-cancelling 2 sc tone]
3)Neck+Bridge HB
4)outside coils of both [" " "]
5)Bridge HB
The 2 and 4 spots have the expected quieter output/less middle, but it's not really Strato-inbetween, either. They also, sad to say, sound identical to each other. No big loss, though; this guitar seems to prefer the HBs/distorto-amp sounds anyhow: the long scale (25 1/2") lends itself to easier legato and tap once you get up the neck (especially if you have big hands). It's a shame there's no inlay/dots (I'm sure that's part of the austere 'look'), but the glow-in-the-dark side-dots are nice...I have plenty of guitars right now, and I've not used this onstage in the year I've had it. It's been fun to play here and there, but I think I'm about to gut the JBs out of it to replace what came in my new Mockingbird....

Great versatile guitar!

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack C-1 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is awesome! It can do anything from blues to metal and even more twangy sounds from the single coil config. I decided to get it after reading about the build and parts. The features are unmatched at this price point. A home run for schecter. Unfortunately, not too many color selection with these features. The C-1 standards and custom have the 24.75" scale which is a giant mistake by Schecter for a strat type body guitar. I hope they correct those 2 models to be 25.5" real soon and they will have a returning customer. The Blackjack however is a homerun!

Big, Bad, Blackjack!

By Stratorocker

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack C-1 Electric Guitar:

The Blackjack is an rockin' delight to play! Solid sound from the Duncan pups. Nice quality all over. The neck joint is solid and comtributes to the sustaid and comfort on the high end of the neck. Mine is the "006 Blackjack", that is now discontinued, but is basically the same guitar. Mine does have a 5 way switch for coit tapped single coil sounds in positions 2 and 4. I plan to keep this guitar from now on. It favorably compares to guitars I have that cost a thousand dollars more. You'll need to pick up a good, solid case for this tone machine. Fender cases will work or the Musicials Friend tweed case with the red plush interior is nice. It makes this Blackjack Beauty really stand out when you pop the top open! And it plays as good as it looks! I'd just get one...

Sweet Guitar.

By Rick

from SoCal

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack C-1 Electric Guitar:

Just awesome. Frets are sweet, the pickups are just godly, it is possible to shred on such a guitar. The neck is similar to the Les Paul so all those Gibson/Epi owners out there won't be foreign to it. The tuning pegs are just insanely smooth, similar to ice or a clean shaven chin. In the dark, observers think you're playing a guitar with no inlays, but only you can see them. Just looks plain sexy and also has the wide array of sounds that Schecters can make whether it be Blues, Rock, or just plain Metal, this guitar can do it all. Mahogany + Seymour Duncans + forgot to mention long freaking sustain (think energizer bunny) gives this guitar all the ranges that many guitar players lack.

Schecter C-1 Blackjack Rocks

By MROD

from Anaheim, Ca

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack C-1 Electric Guitar:

A singer in one of my old bands had a Schecter and I liked it alot, feel and sound, I just could not pull my self away from my Fender custom Strats and Gibson Les Pauls. We started playing a couple of clubs that were in questionable areas. So I decided to buy a couple guitars for such gigs and the blackjack was one. Well I was blown away at how good it sound and how well it plays. The guitar ROCKS. It now get in there with the LP's & Strats at every gig.

Very nice guitar

By BMTH9390

from Arizona

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack C-1 Electric Guitar:

This is my second guitar, and I am somewhat of a beginner but I am very impressed with this guitar! It was set up great and ready to play right out of the box. It doesn't have the absolutely rock solid fit and finish feel to it that my previous American strat had, but this guitar definitely a better fit for the kind of stuff I like to play. It has a very fast neck and sounds very blusey right out of the box with great sustain.. Love it. Overall great guitar and worth every penny.
