The Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack ATX C-1 Electric Guitar is fully-equipped. It comes with a swmp ash body and set 3-piece maple neck. The fretboard is smooth ebony with 24 extra-jumbo frets. Seymour Duncan pickups produce plenty of tone control and power. Black chrome hardware and a Hipshot bridge complete the list of appointments.
Schecter locking tuners
Schecter Locking Tuners feature a locking screw pin to lock the string into place for greater tuning stability. Details include a 19:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 10mm diameter peg hole.
Ebony has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains, oilier pores, and a stronger fundamental tone than Maple. It has a tremendous amount of percussive overtones in the pick attack, that mute out shortly thereafter to foster great, long, sustain
Seymour Duncan Blackouts 7-string AHB-1
Like 6-string Blackouts, the 7-string versions use balanced inputs with a differential preamp for reduced noise. They're voiced for heavy rock with greater dynamic range, less scooped mids, and less compression than other active pickups.
3-pc mahogany neck
Made with 3 pieces of mahogany for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack ATX C-7 7 String Electric Guitar:
I'm really an Ibanez guy, I own 13 of them, so I was looking into getting the rgd prestige Ibanez, but it's 1500 bucks, so I saw the Schecter km7 and saw that it had the same scale length, but with locking tuners, set neck, Duncan nazgul and sentient pups, coil tap, and ect, I wanted to give it a try, and I loved it!!! So I wanted to try another Schecter, other than the km7s, I tried the banshee and hated the bolt on neck. So then I saw this, and I'll tell you, this thing is sick!!! The blackouts I think sound a little better than the emg707s, and the look of this thing is just amazing! It plays great after setting it up, and the neck is nice and comfortable. I'm not crazy about the location of the toggle switch tho, it's right below the volume knobs and tone, so switching the pups u have to go over top of the knobs to get to it. But the Duncan's sound awesome with this mohagany body. My only other complaint is when I dropped the pups down to do the intonation, when you go to raise them, they don't want to come back up! Its a pain in the neck!! They just wobble in the cavity. I had to back the screws all the way out to get them to come back up, and I have the same problem with my km7, so honestly Schecter should try to fix that. But other than that, this guitar is awesome!! Def great for metal, but is nice and warm sounding if you want it to be.
