The Banshee Elite Series features:
A swamp ash body with a flamed maple top, nine-piece Maple/Walnut neck with an ebony fingerboard, 24 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets, mother-of-pearl offset/reverse dot inlays with brass circles, and a neck-thru construction with ultra access for seamless playability and easy access to the higher frets. The Banshee Elite is offered in 6-, 7-, and 8-string options and also offers the choice of a Hipshot Hardtail Bridge, or the Schecter Exclusive Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge which features stainless steel parts, new push-in arm, and knife points that are re-tooled for better tuning and smoother tremolo play.
One of the coolest features is that the Banshee Elite comes loaded with Schecter's own handmade USA SuperCharger pickups with an option of a Sustainiac in the neck position (Sustainiac offered only in 6- and 7-string models). The Banshee Elite is a guitar that truly plays itself, and offers remarkable versatility and tone that players relish. Case sold separately.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Banshee Elite-6 with Floyd Rose and Sustainiac Electric Guitar:
I have a sustainiac installed in my Ibanez, and I love it, but it's set up for E standard/Drop D tuning. Wanted another sustainiac guitar that I could use for lower tunings (D standard - E flat standard, occasionally C# standard). Narrowed it down to either this guitar, a Schecter Blackjack, or a Schecter Damien Platinum. I tried this guitar out first, and I actually liked it, but expected more for the price point. For starters the 9V battery case could be better -- I expected a swivel compartment where the batteries just slide out and drop in, but with this one, I had to use a bass pick to pry the battery out when it came time to change it. There was also a screw loose on the pickup out of the box which I had to tighten down, and in the box, the bag that contains the whammy bar and all of the other hardware was cut open at the bottom, so all the allen wrenches and extra trem spring were loose in the box. That said, I liked the feel of the guitar, especially the slim neck and x-jumbo frets, it played very smoothly for me. The screwless whammy bar was also nice, it just pushes in and pulls out. The glow in the dark side inlays seemed gimmicky, maybe someone else would find those handy but not for me. The humbucker pickup looks cool and sounds fine, but again, wasn't thrilled with it at this price point. Ended up returning it and next will try out the Blackjack which has the same slim neck, tho without stainless steel frets and with a different pickup (there are other differences too, but not important for me).
