I have shopped the internet and other music stores. ..You get what you pay for. Here at the Guitar Center I got so much more. You can see what you are getting, try it out, but with the same low price benefits of shopping online. I love this guitar the sound quality is that of a electric twice it's price. Guitar Center has taken that worry out of the equation with their money back guarantee.
i just picked up a schecter c-1fr and brought it home and put it through its paces. this a beautifully made, and beautifull sounding guitar. It can compete with anyone out there. It has massive tone, with great clarity, and sustain that will pull you're teeth out for ya. whats is really suprising about this guitar is how playable and fast it is. these guitars are VEARY underrated. they anre not just for metal either. these are really good guitars....
Schecter comes through with an affordable standard that really sounds similar to its custom counterparts (with a good amp of course). However, it's important to remember to consider your style before buying this guitar; Schecter models are played by bands like Seether, A7X, and Papa Roach. If you're looking for a nice metal sound, buy this guitar with a Line 6 or Marshall amp and start shredding!
The Schecter C1 FR definitely takes the cake on a well-rounded, moderately-priced guitar ready for you to shred. I have been a proud owner of this C1 for over a year and have fallen in love heart and soul. I have an older model in white, but the specs are essentially the same. With the C1 FR standard you get a perfect balance between the feel and bite of a Strat and the meaty tone of a Les Paul. The bolt-on neck has the perfect shape for that Strat like feel, but is more rounded and natural feeling, reminiscent of high-end Music Man guitars. Plus, it has 24 frets! Yet, it's not uber thin and cheap feeling like many "shred" guitars. The mahogany body and rosewood fretboard give you the soulful tone of a Les Paul. Because of the longer neck scale, though, you get clearer highs, and the thick body brings in deep lows. The Floyd Rose just brings everything together for in-tune dive bombs, gentle vibrato, and crazy whammy effects. It really stays in tune quite well for a floating trem, and the Grover Tuners are superb. The pickups are only "Duncan designed" but sound wonderful in this C1. There are only two potential problems that you might have with this guitar. First, if you don't have the patience to deal with the Floyd Rose tremolo this guitar is not for you. If you're new to the whole locking trem thing though this is a great guitar to start on, and you will love what you can do with it. The second thing is that the bass response in the C1 can be somewhat overpowering and seem muddy, but this is remedied by getting good tone set up on your amp. Overall the C1 FR is one of the best guitars you can buy for all around Hard Rock and all kinds of Metal. If you are into a toneful shred powerhouse go check out the C1 FR standard today!
This is one of the best guitars I have played. The guitar has a great sound and feel to it and the fretboard is really smooth. Another plus is the Floyd Rose, the guitar never goes out of tune. You won't go wrong if you get this guitar.
