Junkmail

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research 004 Bass Guitar:

At first glance I was a little skeptical because the pickups are not EMG, they are Schecter designed. After picking it up, I could not put it down because it felt so good. It looks old school and has active booster plus a 3 band eq. The neck is absolutely smooth and hammer ons are effortless. I'd recommend this to slap or rock style players any day of the week.

A Grade-A Bass

By Tom

from Mountain Top, Pa

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research 004 Bass Guitar:

This is an amazing bass. The pick-ups are active and sound great, but just a pull of the volume knob makes it passive (comes in handy if your 9v dies on stage). The neck feels amazing. It's thin, but not too thin. It sounds great and nowhere do I experience any fret buzz. It tunes easy and stays that way. Not to mention that this thing just looks great. It's retro looking (like a Rickenbacher (sp?)), but has a new look to it that Schecter spins on it. Great value; perfectly priced.

A very good bass

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research 004 Bass Guitar:

When I first saw this bass i thought it was a Rickenbacker. Even though it wasn't i wasn't disappointed. The neck was very smooth, nice sound, cool color of black. It and this knob that you can pull out and it will change you're pickups to a passive mood,so you could find a certain sound that you wanted. I think it you'd be more of a bass for someone that has been play for a while. And i leave this review with my last eight word "one of the best bass's I've ever played" Chesapeake

great

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research 004 Bass Guitar:

I love this bass, nothing wrong with it at all. What got me when i first picked it up was how perfectly my arm rested on the body. The active passive pickups are amazing, it sounds so full when they are active. And then just pull the knob out for passive and it sounds so clean and "airy". Its a very cool feature to have

WOW

By Lemon

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research 004 Bass Guitar:

The second I picked up this bass I knew I had to have it. It's got a nice meaty feel and tone and the second you pick it up you just want to slap. However, the quality pickups allow you to obtain a soft, smooth quality, perfect for jazz. I highly recommend this bass for any slap bass players, or players who just want a wide range of tones.
