Nice Bass for price

I bought this to play at my church. It's a little heavy, but otherwise very functional and warm sounding bass. The neck moves well, but 1st and 5th stings are aweful close to the edge, so be careful when moving quickly. Excellent bass for the mid price range.

Schector Stiletto Studio-5 bass

I recently bought the Schector Stiletto Studio-5 bass. I played several other guitars including comparably priced cort and ibanez 5-string models. This guitar blew them away. The neck feels very smooth and is easy to navigate. The string spacing is just right for a 5-string and the thru-neck gives it a great sound and better resonation than most guitars. The guitar's styling is best put as professional looking. It has a very classy look and the sound to back it up. The guitar's sound is versatile; several tone options allow the user to achieve a very wide array of sounds. I like anything from slap bass to smooth jazz and I can get it all out of this. My only complaint is the balance. The guitar is a little more top heavy than I would like, but it is a bass so that's understandable.

come on income tax return!!

I tried out this thunder stick at ghe G.C. in Mayfield, Ohio. Coming off of a 12 year vacation from playing bass, when I'm spending my pesos, they need to be spent legitimately. I picked up a Jasmine 4 stringer A/E for jammin to c.d.'s and CMT. It is fun to play, and smooth, but limited. Schecter really pulled it off with this one. Excellent clarity, sustain, playability, tone, comfort, and affordability. When income tax return time rolls around, I'll be sleeping on the couch after I bring it home and show my wife.

Very Good

I was trying to decide between this bass and a Warwick which would have cost about $250 more. This bass is amazing, and its tone is nice and crisp. The knobs are responsive (as far as I've tested) and its stood up to matching a tone to any style of music I've put it up against. Its a great buy.
