  • Silky Smooth

As reviewed by Steve on 11/5/2010

I purchased this bass over 2 years ago and havent looked back since. Ive played Fender, Ibenez, Michael Kelly, and Squire basses in the past and this one really takes the cake. The action is low and fast and the tonal control you get with this baby is amazing. For a bolt on neck the sustain is better than you would think and the EMG-HZ's are loud and clear. As far as the quality of craftsmanship is concerned Ive never had a problem with anything on the bass and it looks stunning. I play everything from blues and funk to rock and heavy metal and this bass has never let me down. In short, shes silky smooth.

  • I'm impressed.

As reviewed by Jay Allen on 1/10/2012

This bass is a very good instrument. It's built well and the tone is amazing for my more metallic pursuits. The only gripe I have is that the strings that come with it are awful, but that's something that can be easily rectified. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a bass for metal.

  • The true "Everything" bass!

As reviewed by Mitch on 1/3/2008

Let me just say that this is my all time favorite bass, and for an amazing price. I can virtually get any tone out of this bass's active EQ. The only tones I can't get are Steve Harris and Fieldy, but then again what basses can. This was my second bass, and I don't think I will need a third for a long time. I use a 1X15 speaker and it sounds amazing. Great for gigging. The natural color really gives it that "WOW" factor. My only complaint is that is that it scratches and dents very easily, so be careful and get a hardshell case for it. I do prefer the natural color over the vampyre ed one.
