Vintage looks without the vintage price from Schecter.
Schecter's Stargazer-4 electric bass guitar has classic style and looks with all of the modern conveniences and technology available. The quality components allow you to dial in a whole range of sounds. It's the ideal bass for rock, metal, blues and any other style that you want your bass to really cut through with great low end and punchy highs. Careful though. People might mistake it for a vintage bass and want to buy it from you.
The Stargazer-4 comes equipped with crazy EMG MMHZ and SJHZ pickups. The MMHZ in the bridge is a direct replacement for the original Music Man bass pickup. This pickup is passive (without internal pre-amp) and features a dual-coil design for low noise and plenty of output. The SJHZ pickup in the neck position uses a stacked design with ceramic magnets and a laminated steel core for increased output and lower noise.
This massive Schecter bridge uniquely allows the player to tailor string tension and 'feel', with the choice of traditional 'top load' stringing, thru-body, or a combination of both! Thru body stringing increases string tension and clarity, which is popular with player's tuning below standard 'A' 440.
Rosewood is naturally oily and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact, which is why it is the most common wood used in fingerboards. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.
Schecter Bass tuners provide high quality, precision tuning with minimum weight. They have a 17:1 gear ratio allowing for precise fine tuning adjustments, removable knobs, threaded peghead bushing, and a 13.6mm diameter peg hole.
