  I've been playing for almost 30 years. I own a few Gretsch's (Silver Falcon and an Electromatic), so I'm familiar with Bigsby's. I also own a couple of MusicMan's (Axis and Steve Morse signature), so I'm also familiar with Floyds. I was looking for something that could span them all, and this fits the bill perfectly. There was a little bow in the neck upon receiving, but a little tweak of the truss rod fixed that. It's now super-straight, the action is way-low, and it feels like home in my small-ish hands. The finish is beautiful (I got the 2-tone burst), the binding is just sweet, and the frets are well dressed. And that's all before I plugged it in. The pickups are... twangy? Jangly? Yeah, all of that, but more sort of "breathy" and with a ton of character (especially with the split-coil) and capable of a lot of expression. But you can also get gain out of them. It pretty much does whatever you ask of it. I'm amazed that there aren't more reviews of this. It's truly a beautiful and well-playing/sounding instrument. You just about can't do better for 600 bucks.

  This puppy rocks. Period. I may wax poetic like I work for Schecter but I assure you I do not. From twangin' like Duane Eddy, to Carl Perkins,to Horton Heat to Neil Young at his grungiest, to Billy Zoom and beyond. Set up for sin. Plays like a centerfold. Purists may hesitate about the more traditional HB at the bridge but I feel like it gives me an exit door to individuality if I feel trapped in the "Gretsch only" box. The Bigsby is honey smooth and the tuning is beyond all a man can ask for. Been playing for 30 + years. I could make make drug references but that would be wrong. Although it might not be inaccurate. Get two!

  This puppy rocks! Schecter has a reputation for seious quality control and I was not disapointed. Color me pleased. The Vintage Solo came in set up for sin,playing like a centerfold, and whether you make it scream or whisper in your ear, it calls your name like a drug. The intonation is smack on. The PUs give you an excellent blend capability without being trapped in any one genre or sound. Everything from Eddie Cochran to Neil Young to X. The Bigsby is as smooth as honey and stays in tune just fine thank you very much.Get your own cuz you can't have mine.
