One of Schecter's hottest from the early '80s is back.

The Schecter PT-Standard Electric Guitar is a remake of one of Schecter's hottest guitars from the early '80s. Originally a custom guitar, the PT-Standard is now available to more musicians as part of the Schecter Diamond Series.

The PT-Standard guitar has a creme bound alder body of traditional shape, bolt-on rock maple neck (25-1/2" scale), maple fingerboard with dot inlays. 2 tapped Duncan Designed Superock humbucker pickups lay down thick and meaty tones, or give you jangly single-coil sounds when split. The Schecter PT-Standard is one of the more versatile guitars around.

  • Good guitar for the money

As reviewed by godfatherofpunk on 9/28/2006

I was looking for a backup guitar for gigs and one of my friends recommended the the Schecter PT. Not knowing too much about Schecter I decided to try it out on his advice and after having this guitar for over a year now I have zero complaints. It may not be fancy but it gets the job done with solid construction and a good tone. This is good guitar for those of you not looking to spend a bunch.

  • Bang for your buck

As reviewed by Brandon on 3/12/2007

a buddy of mine owns this, were in a guitar class at school together and i play it all the time, when he told me he only paid $400 bucks for it i was amazed it sounds so good for guitars this price its unbelivable, nice frets and bridge while nothing special, they are quality. Pickups sound great and theres nothing too high or low about them, very balanced. definetly a good buy.
