A 7-string specifically designed for today's low-tuned player.

Designed by Jeff Loomis, this extended scale 7-string Schecter electric guitar features an arched ash body with a set-in 26.5" scale maple neck. The longer scale generates the depth of tone required for body-slamming modern crunch. Schecter's UltraAccess joint yields unobstructed access to the 24th fret! The maple fingerboard has black metal cross inlays to complement the guitar's Vampyre Red Satin finish. Armed with dual EMG Active 707 humbucker pickups, which yield the attack, clarity, and sustain to propel lethal riffs. The TonePros bridge with thru-body ensures rock solid intonation while promoting maximum string vibration transference.

Case sold separately.

  • Really Cool Guitar

As reviewed by Anonymous on 5/2/2011

This is a really nice seven string, especially for the price. the pickups sound amazing, and the neck feels great. It's beefy where you need it and slim where you don't. Unfortunately the fret markers on this guitar almost look like stickers or painted on or something, because there's a subtle outline around them where the wood appears lighter. Before buying this guitar, you should keep in mind that it doesn't come with a case, you'll need to purchase the SGR-1C, which fits the guitar perfectly, or some other universal case. I'm extremely glad I got this model instead of the one with the floyd rose, it's so much easier to tune and change strings without hassle. It's a great guitar for anyone who's a fan of Jeff Loomis, Nevermore, or Korn. Having that extra 7th string is really nice for heavier chords, but you can still play any standard 6 string stuff. Soloing just sounds fantastic, and the one volume knob is nice so you don't have to screw around with tone knobs and more volume components. The body of the guitar and the neck are beautiful, especially with the red satin finish. It's nearly impossible to reach the higher frets on the lowest string, and even the 24th fret on the high e string are tough to reach. The cutaway doesn't really provide enough room. In a nutshell, if you like to play Korn or Nevermore covers, or you just like shredding in general and playing heavier riffs, this is the guitar for you. Clean stuff sounds great on this guitar too, but the extra long neck and the extra jumbo frets are great for metal. They help the strings maintain sound quality even when tuned down low.

First off the inlays are insanley awesome. I've seen atleast to guitars with sick inlays but nothing as cool as this. I know the Ibanez Jem has that one strand but it doesn't play as nice as this. The frets are huge and the body is really awesome. The best 7-string in the world if you ask me
