A guitar with a name that says it all — seriously.

The Schecter Hellraiser V-1 features electronics that are unsurpassed. In the bridge position, an EMG-81TW has a dual-mode design that gives you all the crunch and aggressiveness of the original EMG-81 plus a single-coil sound with a fatter tone with plenty of punch and clarity. Dual internal preamps, one tuned for single-coil mode and the other for dual-coil mode, give the 81TW two distinct sounds. An EMG-89 in the neck position also has separate preamps each providing custom outputs for both dual coil and single coil modes. The 89 is loaded with Alnico V magnets for a vintage strat sound. The different modes are accessed through push/pull volume pots. Together these pickups give you a range of tones that will surprise you and your audience.

The body of the Hellraiser V-1 Electric Guitar not only looks awesome, but allows you unhindered access to the 25-1/2" scale mahogany set neck with Ultra access that is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard set with 24 extra-jumbo frets. Thru-body string threading adds to the tonal sustain of this instrument.

The Hellraiser V-1 Guitar has black hardware, abalone binding, and gothic cross inlays that all add to the dark vibe of this demonically inspired Schecter guitar.

I got this guitar a week ago and man this thing screams the pickups are amazing i like the coil tap(even though i dont use it that much). Pinch harmonics sound amazing and it just looks beautiful. The only thing i dont like is that it doesnt have floyd rose i miss my divebombs =(lol

  • the ubber v

As reviewed by oliver westervelt on 10/25/2010

this v is amazing. the string through and set-neck configuration of the body gives it amazing sustain. the emg 81/89 coil taps are amazing too. you can't really tell much of a difference with distortion in the coil tapping but on clean it provides a nice single coil sound. but even without the coil tapping the pickups still sound great. the only thing i don't like about it is that it has a slight bit of neck dive but, honestly, its something that can be worked past. the other day i played a lot les paul and the hellraiser v-1 was lighter and played as good, if not better, then that les paul. i play more of a metallica/alice in chains style of music and i strongly recommend this guitar to anyone who plays that style and everyone else who doesn't.

  • Delightful and Brutal guitar!

As reviewed by Michael Mather on 7/18/2011

This guitar has got it all. Looks that kill and exceed past this picture you see here. Tone that varies, but mainly focuses on metal and brutal fuzz. Feel is great, but difficult to play sitting down, like ALL flying V's. The first thing I noticed was the looks of the beast. It looks like nothing I had ever seen before when I went into the store. The picture you see here does not do it's justice, sadly. Another thing I noticed is when I arrived home. I plugged in. Wow. These pickups are amazing and meant for a metal tone. If metal is what you desire to play, then look no further. This guitar has the best EMG Stock pickups for this axe. Overall, this guitar has proved to me that I don't need to keep getting back my money due to a instrument not living up to it's name. This thing is all I need for a long time. Do not hesitate to buy this guitar for the metal tone. Hesitate if you don't like the looks. How could you NOT like the looks though?
