The Schecter Hellraiser Tempest electric guitar features a mahogany body for lots of rich, resonant tone. Active EMG 81-TW/89 humbuckers deliver fantastic punch they'll hear in the underworld while push/pull volume knobs give you single-coil tones. The Hellraiser Tempest guitar's 3-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard allow your fingers to dance with ease. TonePros bridge and locking tuners add up to tuning stability that won't let you down. Abalone binding and gothic cross inlays enhance the Schecter Hellraiser Tempest guitar's stylish look.
So I decided to try this guitar becasue I love Schecter. The only difference in the one that I tried is that it was the Blackjack version of it. The sound is plain amazing! The push pull knobs are a wonderful addition to this guitar, especially when I was playing Afterlife. The neck was great...flowed through the body. It handled all tunings I put it in. All around amazing guitar that I would recommend to anybody who plays clean and really heavy. But if you want a really cool looking one, get the Blackjack because it had playing cards for the twelfth fret inlay. Buy It!

I got to say that this guitar is the most amazing guitar I've ever seen, used, and triumphed with! I literally went to Guitar Center for several hours and tried over 50 guitars, and this won my vote! The guitar literally blew me away, and it was by far the easiest to handle! 5 Stars indeed!! *****

I purchased this about two weeks ago, and I am highly impressed. I own another Schecter, an Ibanez, and a 1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard. This guitar plays as well if not better than the Gibson. The EMG pickups work great and I have found them to sound good on clean settings also. However, they are superb for Metal. If asked, I would suggest this guitar, well built, no buzz, only thing i adjusted was raising the pickups, due to the capibility of active pickups.

I have owned this guitar for quite a while, (2007 model). Just FYI, the 2007 model is the same except it does not have the push in knobs for single coils and the tuners are not locking, they are grover tuners. The guitar is designed for distortion but its decent on clean mode (better than most other metal guitars anyway) and the construction quality is great. Over all the guitar is very easy to play, sounds top-knoch, and it looks great on stage, what more does anyone want from a musical intrument? I cannot say anything about the push-in knobs or the locking tuners because i have never tried em but the EMG humbuckers are good for low empidence and the grover tuners never fail me. Great guitar and one of my personal favorites. Hope this helps.
