hellraiser
while working full time one summer i decided to buy a new guitar, i wasnt planing on spending this much but im so glad i did. this really is a great guitar for anyone who can afford it... especially those who love metal, because this guitar can seriously live up to its name. the hellraiser plays, sounds, looks, and feels like it is worth several times more than the cost, this is a lifetime guitar for me, no doubt about it. schecter does some incredible work.

Schecter Hellraiser C-1
I got this guitar for christmas this year and I have to say that this guitar is the best EVER! This is the only guitar I will ever need because it can play just about anything. From classic rock to heavy metal, the Hellraiser conquers it all. I LOVE THIS GUITAR!

Simply sweetttttttttttt
To the guy below me, i don't know, you might've gotten a lemon, from the few C1 Hellrasiers i've played (a couple in Austin, and i just moved here in San Antonio where i just bought one.) the sustain remains pretty consistant. That's thanks to a neck-through design. Action on this thing is superb, although i had to adjust it when i got home, but overall, it's staggerng. Tone on this thing is absolutely beastly, and varying ranges from the pull-knobs to get the whole single-coil configuration works well, not the best, but i don't use it often, humbucking all the way! It gives away that great August Burns Red tone when set up right. As for build quality, everything is in place right, and sturdy as hell. I LOVE the locking tuners, and i also love how schecter has given us the ability to change out the 9V with a panel on the back. EMGs speak for themselves, and the Red (yes i has red one.) Looks stupidly amazing. Don't go off the pictures, go out and see it for yourself, there's really no describing how beautiful it is. It's Versetile, Light, damn good sound when played out of just about anything (i am loving this thing on the line 6 pod) Only real downsides i can think of.. the single coil config is semi-useless, and isn't MUCH of a change, but it's noticable, and it doesn't wash the dishes. pretty much. I reccomend it, and when you get it, unleash hell. Srsly.

A perfect guitar
This guitar is amazing. Its got extremely fast action on the neck, and it has jumbo frets along with an Ultra-access cutaway to ease playing on the higher frets. The EMG 81/85 combo is amazing as well, the 81 is famous for its raunchy rock tone, and it lives up to its name. The 85 pickup sounds great for acoustic. The great thing about this guitar is that while playing it, you know no guitar will sound better, or have better tone, it just doesn't get better than EMGs 81/85 combo.

This thing is the shiz
I bought this guitar from Guitar Centers used stuff(which is the cheapest i've found anything musical) and absolutely love it. It plays like butter and the emg's are so sick. Its hard to put it down. And i just have to comment on Guitar Centers performance. It was packaged really great. And they told me it might take 4 or 5 days to ship (at another low cost). And i got it in two and a half. Almost everything they sell (even used) has a thirty day money back guarantee so i was able to buy it without stress. And they didn't let me down. I would recommend this guitar to anyone who likes playing. Sounds great clean annnd distorted. Also the grovers keep it in tune great. Check plus for Schecter...and Guitar Center.

It's a BEAST.....
This guitar has it all, Mahogany body, Set Neck and EMG Active pickups with the push/pull split coil feature. The weight and balance is perfect on this guitar. The neck is fast and has a great shape, not too thick and not too thin. And don't even get me started on the sound! I play it through my Line 6 HD100 SpiderValve and it screams! The chunk I get out of this guitar is awesome to say the least. Then pull up the volume knob on the bridge pickup and it has an amazing clean sound. For the price you're getting a top of the line guitar. I say go for it.

Did I get a lemon ?
Well, I played this guitar in the store for about 3 minutes, and was pretty impressed with it. However after I got it home, the more I played it, the less I liked it. The sustain was pretty bad, and the range of tones i could coax it into making was pretty limited. Pulling the knob out for the coil tap seemed to do nothing but make the sustain even worse. I traded an epiphone les paul ultra for this guitar, and the epiphone had sustain forever, and a really awesome warm tone. this guitar had neither. and the epi was about $200 less. maybe the one i got was junk, but i would strongly advise anyone to play it in the store before buying.
positives : neck felt good, was fast, and very responsive. Jumbo frets make it easier for someone with bigger hands to play. cutaway makes accessing the high notes really easy. absolutely beautiful guitar.
negatives : sustain on mine was terrible. sometimes a note would peter out to nothing after only like 2 seconds... I experienced this mainly on the high notes. range of tones i could get were limited. I even put a fresh battery in it, and no luck.
i ended up returning this guitar after about 3 weeks of daily playing, and getting a gibson les paul studio, which sounds absolutely amazing.
