I bought this guitar about 4 months ago
and it's totally awesome. It's physically beautiful and it's sound is amazing with it's 81 and 85 EMG's.
If you like to play some heavy stuff i think it's just the guitar for you.
The floyd rose tremolo is also perfect for playing good solos, it stays in tune for weeks.
I usually play with a Jackson DKMG,But after enlisting in the Army, I had to sell it. I wanted to get back into playing guitar but seeing as how the DKMG isn't made anymore, the prices for them went through the roof. My requirement for my guitars are that they need a Floyd Rose locking tremolo, EMG active pick-ups, must be black, and they have to have an RG style body. The schecter met all of these requirements and at about half the price of the Jackson!!
A few drawbacks that were quite upsetting about the Schecter:
The Black MBK color is not very black, it actually looks green. I can't stand the color, but its plays great to I kind of overlook the issue.
The Schecter is HEAVY! ok not THAT heavy but compared to the Jackson, it is quite heavy.
Those are the only two issue I have with the Guitar. Aside from the that, the sound is amazing, the neck is high speed, and the tremolo on it is way better than the one my jackson had! Overall DEFINITELY WORTH the buy!!! High recommended guitar. Jst dont get BLACK MBK if ur looking for a black guitar! it really does look green.
