For those who like it dark, heavy, and loud.

Schecter's Damien Series bass guitar not only shares a name with the evil child from "The Omen", it comes with a sinister satin black finish, black hardware, and black pearl bat inlays too. Its arched basswood body features a lower cutaway, rosewood fingerboard, and 24 jumbo frets. At a glance you can see that the Damien has "hard rock" written all over it. And rock Damien does, thanks to two EMG- HZ series humbuckers and 4 control knobs for volume, blend, and active 2-band EQ with selectable treble frequencies.

Pick up a Schecter Damien bass and prepare to whip the metal militia into a frenzy.

  • power to match looks

I've owned my Damien for maybe 2 months now after playing on an Ibanez RDGR for about 5 years, and I have to say this bass is simply amazing. You can get the low, deep growls, you dream of doing and to the other extreme you can get clear well defined mids/highs as well whenever you feel like playing something more melodic. The tonality is great and it has an amazing overall feel. very light, and short action so you can play fast. it comes with d'addario light strings which was a plus for me cause I use those by default. Amazing sound on EMGHZ pickups. This bass is definitely worth a lot more than what its priced at. Oh, and the it looks cool haha.

  • Cheaply made

I have now owned this bass for a year. In that year, I have found most everything that is wrong with this bass..its a long list. I will start with the neck..the set up person at schecter decided the neck didn't need to be seated correctly, and left an 1/8" gap between the neck seat and the body..causing me to have action that promotes powerful carpal tunnel, or buzzing strings from the 12th down. Next all internal hardware is plastic..the 1/4" jack..plastic..so now I can only play this bass sitting down as any movement cause the most horrendous crackle and loss of sound..mogami cable..so for those of you out there..it is not the cable. lastly the descriptions saying this bass is good for all tones..just plain lied..this bass is good for one thing and one thing only, super heavy metal music..these emg pick ups and the schecter active electronics together guarantee you will never hear a mid-range note..and highs are brittle. I have had to run it through a compressor, with the entire active eq cut out, just to get any type of "classic" tone. I use an orange amp, and a t-rex squeezer and it still sounds bleh. My plan is to spend retarded amounts of money on a real bass. Good beginner bass, as long as you love metal.

  • Not bad at all.

I haven?t had a single issue with it in the year I've owned it. I had a slight fret buzz on the first fret, but I also play in drop D. This is the 3rd Schecter I've owned and I don?t think you can go wrong with it.
