Product Information

Original Floyd Rose trem says "hit me!"

An arched mahogany body and 3-piece mahogany set neck with Schecter's Ultra Access heel contour makes the C1 BlackJack ATX FR so comfortable to play, it almost becomes an extension of your body.

The ATX electric guitar features USA Seymour Duncan active Blackout Humbuckers. These are 9-volt pickups designed for aggressive playing styles; especially good for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles. The Blackouts' balanced inputs capture the tone that players want in an active design, providing more lows, more highs, more tone period.

The ebony fingerboard features an Active Bolt inlay at the 12th fret, like a warning label for just how much power your axe is packing. Grover tuners and the Original Floyd Rose Tremolo bridge allows you to make it talk without knocking it out of tune. Aged mulitply binding is an excellent frame for the high-class aged finish.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

It's Schecter's year...

This guitar whispers hard rock, and screams metal. I've been playing this with a Peavey VK100 Head (Hartke 4X12 cab), a Epiphone Valve Standard combo, and a Roland Microcube for variety and to see how the pickups react to different amps. The pickups are definitely the star of this guitar. 9-volt active Blackouts, these humbuckers have less noise (moved around near lights, computers, and other electronics), and put out more highs, lows, and output than other active pickups I've tried. They have a more organic tone than other actives and the harmonics almost jump out and slap you in the face. In conjunction with the mahogany body, you can get a nice, deep, rich chug for your rythmic lines to very clear, articulate, and well sustained solos. The Original Floyd Rose maintains it's tuning very well, able to perform dive bombs or ear piercing squeals while returning true. I love the antique white finish, with a simple yet very classy look, and the binding compliments it quite nicely. The single inlay, I'm sure will be a love or hate thing, but I think it looks fine, and I'm really liking the simplicity (I don't get lost because there are still side fret markers).

It's An Awe-Inspiring Necessity

I contemplated purchasing a lower-end Schecter, an awful blue-pill mistake that never would have been properly regretted had I not invested myself in the red-pill rabbit-hole of this mysterious & enchanting instrument. Its battery-powered Seymour Duncan Blackouts pick up the most subtle ornamental harmonics during distorted play, giving ideal control for the intelligent, cross-genre musician; processed or not, the sound is paradoxically wider & more precise, larger & more dynamic. The unique Floyd Rose setup encourages necessary string-bending, both up AND down, for dramatic pitch slides as well as for tremolos ranging from veiled to wildly over-the-top. Additionally, the instrument stubbornly refuses to come out of tune once locked in. With its elegant design and supple body, this guitar adds, visually, to any rock aesthetic, clean or dirty, from classic blues to electro punk, from pop to avant garde. If one finds oneself on the fence about this investment, please allow this ardent endorsement to urge one up and over; surely I do assume there is no way back from this instrument, but ne'er does one even imagine retreat to a musical life without the lovely Schecter Blackjack C1 ATX FR.
