i got the guitar on october 10 ish. i played it all day and the beauty of the guitar never got old. the ebony fingerboard matches the ruby red of the guitar perfectly. every thing is cromed giving the guitar an edge that every-one should love. the splitting tone option i love and always helps. the c-1 plus was replaced by this guitar and it was a choice by schecter overall.

  • Great guitar and awesome value too

As reviewed by RDRocks on 3/15/2011

I have several other guitars, but wanted a good all around workhorse guitar. I did a lot of research and based on reviews I ended up chosing the C1 Custom especially after playing a standard C1 (they didn't have the Custom in stock). It played and sounded better than other similar priced (higher and lower ones) guitars. I ordered the one I wanted taking a chance that having true Seymour Duncan pickups SH-11(b)& SH-1(n), locking tuners, and nicer inlays would prove to be even better. It was and this guitar is lighter than my true Les Paul or Strat, but the sustain is incredible. It rocks as hard as my LP ever could and when in split-coil mode can be as spanking sparkling clean as you'd want to get. Plus it looks pretty awesome to boot. I don't think I could've spent my money better. They call this guitar the poor man's PRS and I agree. I'd love to have a PRS but you'd spend at least 4x this to get something substantially better from a PRS (I tried several PRS SE models and this was clearly better). Unless you are only looking to play heavy metal this guitar would please most anyone although it can rock as hard as anything else I picked up. I am pleased with it for sure.

  • Awesome

This guitar is awesome. I have had it for almost 5 years now and I still love it. I wanted a PRS for less money, and this is it! The tone is dark and crunchy, just like I like it. The jumbo frets are easy to play, the sustain is great, and it stays in tune. I highly recommend this guitar
