The Schecter BlackJack ATX C-1 is an electric guitar that is so comfortable to play, it almost becomes an extension of your body. An arched mahogany string-through body and 3-piece mahogany set neck with Schecter's Ultra Access heel contour give the BlackJack C-1 stunning stage presence.

The Blackjack ATX C-1 electric guitar features Seymour Duncan active Blackouts humbuckers. These are 9-volt pickups designed for aggressive playing styles; especially good for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles. The Blackouts' balanced inputs capture the tone that players want in an active design, providing more lows, more highs, more tone — period.

The Blackjack ATX C-1 guitar's ebony fingerboard features an Active Bolt inlay at the 12th fret, like a warning label for just how much power your electric guitar is packing. Grover tuners, a TonePros Tune-o-matic-style bridge and a GraphTech lubricating nut keep you in tune and maximizes sustain. Aged multiply binding is an excellent frame for the BlackJack's high-class aged finish.

bought this guitar and oh my god. words cannot even describe how amazing this guitar is. from the pickups, to the ebony fretboard, to the sheer appearance of this (i bought walnut satin). ive never touched this guitar before ordering it, so i went out on a hunch and it was one of my best decisions. buy this guitar!

  • Great guitar, dissapointing pick-ups....

As reviewed by John on 4/2/2008

Bought this guitar awhile back and had it special ordered in the Aged White. Got it earlier than excpected which was great. This guitar RIPS. Plays super smooth, fast neck, and the sound was amazing through my Marshall AVT. Then i went to my studio, plugged it into my JSX head and Vintage 30's half stack. Got a TON of excess buzz, hum, and feedback. I couldnt stop it. Pretty annoying. I know i dont have a noise suppreser but still, it was obnoxious. I returned the guitar as i was just unhappy with the pickups. I guess i will stick with EMG's.

  • ATX-ellent !

As reviewed by Em and Cam on 4/27/2009

We got this guitar online, never having played it or seen one before. BEST DECISION EVAR! The guitar is very solid, doesn't feel like any cheap chinese crap. The neck is smooth, the ebony feels great and the binding is awesome. We love the Blackouts (we have several guitars with EMGs), they sound fantastic thru our Marshall, Laney, Peavey, and even our Vox valvtronix ! They have a deeper, rounder sound that matches the thick body of the guitar. Never had any buzz or unwanted noise, in fact they are quieter than the EMGs. Hihgly reccomended, another brilliant guitar from Schecter. Keeps in tune, sounds great in lower tunings.
