These are my favorite. They clamp on, and stay on. That's it. End of story. You won't have to worry about your investment smashing into the ground. The hardware is top grade, it IS Schaller afterall... The screw for Schaller goes in to most guitars easily, and you don't have to drill anything, or worry about cracking the body. Rickenbacker uses Schallers STOCK, so it's pretty obvious they're doing it right. Anyways, if you want something that simply works perfectly, then get these. The knockoffs have a reputation for failing. Schallers are the true deal.

I had their strap locks installed on my Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass , it dropped the bass twice in 2 months !!! The design is the worst , it turns & the open part points down & its only a matter of time before it drops to the ground . Mine dropped twice in 2 months !! I wrote Schaller a email on their website & they never responded to my email . I am now using DUNLOP STRAP LOCKS CAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST !!!!!! Thanks to Schaller my Fender Bass no longer plays the same or looks the same . In my professional opinion do not buy or use Schaller products , they don't stand behind it . Great Locks!

By Kevin

from New York

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

These strap locks are great! There simple and easy to use and are pretty much impossible for your strap to fall of of them. They are real easy to install, just take your old ones off and put these on. No need to make the hole bigger. My strap use to always fall off my SG, now they don't and I can let my guitar hang without worrying about it falling.

Buy 'em

By Mark

from Imlay City, MI

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

These came with my 50th Anniversary Deluxe Strat and work great. So I thought I would buy them for my other 2 guitars, a Dean and an Ibanez. The only thing is, the screws that came with these are smaller in diameter than the stock screws on those two brands. To avoid the toothpicks and Elmers glue in the holes trick, I drilled out the Schaller buttons for the larger stock screws and ground down the screw head diameter with my moto tool to fit the smaller buttons. Now using the original screws the buttons are secure. I gave it 4 stars because of the modifications I had to make. Give it 5 stars for keeping your guitar safe while playing.

Beautiful. Fits Fender Strat perfectly

By Kentaro

from South Lyon, MI

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

I will tell all of you that the screw that comes with the Schaller Strap Locks fits a Fender Strat/Satin Strat perfectly - something I wish people would have mentioned on the product reviews before I bought it, but I gave it a shot nonetheless. For a few bucks, your guitar is guaranteed safety.. that's a deal hard to beat. I only put 4.5 for value because... for a piece of chinese metal, it IS a little pricy. But the protection you get out of it is worth it - thank you Schaller+Guitar Center!

Best Investment to Protect your Investment!

By Fender101

from Colorado Springs, CO

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

I have tried out several different strap lock systems, and honestly....these stick out far beyond all others for three reasons. 1. They look good and install easily (like most other strap locks) 2. They can work even if your strap doesnt have the strap lock system. 3. When you click your strap to your guitar, you hear a solid metal, defined, reassuring snap when you clip in. No more second guessing the strap lock systems, or ball joints. Unless the strap is leather with re-enforced leather ends, i do not trust any other straps. Since one of my straps failed and ripped, casuing my Gretsch $2500 Nashville guitar to drop and crack....you almost have to be dumb not to buy these. Its what most people call, "cheap insurance"

i bought these strap locks in gold for my epiphone les paul and they work great. the gold matches the rest of my hardware and i havent had a problem with them yet (6 months)my strap hasnt fallen off yet. If you dont want your guitar to fall and break i would suggest picking these up.

Brilliant

By GibsonGuitarist

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

These are the only strap locks i would trust my Les Paul with. The way that they seem to cradle the buttons provides another level of comfort and security while playing. These are truly designed with the safety of the guitar in mind.

Definitely worth it.

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

i got the gold ones yesterday, they match my hardwear perfectly. the only problem is that the screws that come with it a slightly smaller than that ones that come on a Gibson LesPaul. they are also a little shorter, but so far i havent had any problems and they haven't gotten loose or anything. i'd say buy it if you dont want to break that precious guitar, but check online first cuz i got them in the store and they made me pay about 5 bucks more than they're listed online.

Look no further!

By jockeybox

Comments about Schaller Guitar Strap Locks and Buttons (Pair):

I own 3 PRS guitars (1991 CE24, 2005 Custom 24 & 2007 SC250) and fit each one (as well as my other guitars) with these strap locks! They are very easy to install and fool proof. The design offers double security to hold the strap to your guitar. One is the "cup" design of the strap lock and the other is the locking mechanism itself. Another reviewer spoke of problems with his set, I do not see how this is possible. Even if the button lock fails, the strap locks are still held in place by the cup design. OE is guess! *Make sure to use a socket or adjustable wrench to tighten down the lock to your strap. It can work loose if only hand tightened. Buy these strap locks, you will not be dissappointed.
