Overview

This Corum Alliance high-tension classical guitar nylon string set features Savarez advanced Corum basses. Extremely comfortable and responsive to the touch, these strings produce a rich, focused tone.

The multifilament (specifically treated nylon) wound basses are plated with corrosion-resistant silver for a smooth feel and warm tone with the necessary clarity. They are the only strings to offer exceptional flexibility as well as the proper stiffness, which delivers a quick and accurate response. They also offer an improved pliability compared to the traditional strings.

The Alliance trebles are made from an exclusive composite fiber that produces an remarkably clear, consistently rich sound at every position. The Alliance trebles have incredible tensile strength, masterful elasticity and elongation, a consistent core for perfect intonation, and are extremely resistant to fraying.

ok ,so far....

By raquel ruiz

from miami,florida

the first set came installed with my Cordoba C5 classical, they lasted with moderate use about six months and then the bass E broke, followed a day later by the A string...after buying a new set,on opening the packet I had the nasty surprise to find the ends of both the bass E and the A to be seriously frayed! At least an inch and a half on both ends,on both strings:unravelled, uncoiled, nasty! but after trimming, they installed fine and tuned right up. the other strings were OK.The guitar kept going a semitone flat for days afterwards but now after 2 weeks, seems to be holding tune fine. I use the guitar about an hour dayly.Lets see how long the new Savarez last.I love the sound of the low notes, although the G sounds slightly tubby.i can not determine whether its the guitar or the string's fault.

Simply the best!

By Alex Komodore

from Denver,Co

After trying EVERY classical string for the past 40 years, (I'm not joking!) there are no competitors anywhere near the quality, consistency, sustain, and especially, VOLUME that you can get from the Savarez Alliance. Do NOT use other Savarez, they are all trashy trebles except these! These strings are worth every extra penny many times over rivals like D'Addario, Augustine, etc. The extremely thin trebles allow the sustain to be 3-4 times that of D'A'ddario trebles with much more volume and brilliance to boot! . The basses are unbelievable, lasting a good 3-4 months if you practice 2 hours a day. They are so good they can make a modestly priced instrument sound much more professional. A great guitar will sound incredible! Try them- you will NOT be disappointed! One word of restraint: Allow them to stretch a couple of days and take up the 'slack' on the loops and tied ends. AND, Your fingers will not like the thin trebles at first, but after a couple of good days on them, you'll get used to them AND, they will make you play better, on your TIPS of your fingers, with amazing sustain and volume. One again, DO NOT compare these with other Savarez. There is NO comparison! The only other strings in this class are the D'Addario Composites, but the trebles are too thick, and the basses do not have the amazing Spanish flair these do. Good luck!

Savarez Alliance Strings

By Jack from Guitar Vacation Retreats

from San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico

Savarez Alliance strings are the first major innovation in classical guitar strings since nylon replaced gut about 60 years ago. They have a unique quality that can't be had from any nylon strings. Some guitars positively shine with these strings. They have extra treble response, so guitars with a weaker treble response benefit. On some other guitars, which are treble-y to begin with, they may sound a little bit shrill. Among our guitar collection we have a classic crossover model by Kenny Hill which responds very, very well with Savarez Alliance strings. We have observed that many luthiers have learned to put Savarez Alliance strings on their guitars for sale, because they give increased brilliance and treble response that no other string does.
