WOW! i got this ride for christmas and it is amazing! at first i had hoped to get a ziljan but this ride has a much clearer crisper sound than the zildjian. the bell is small, but it still comes out with a nice pitch. this cymbal is great quality, i have a few scratches but some polish will take that away. it has a good veriaty of sound. i like the sound best with teardrop nylon tips. overall its a great cymbal at a great price.

I've had, and enjoyed, a 16" xs20 crash for a while, so I figured that a 20" xs20 ride would be just what I was looking for. However, I'm finding that it's a bit different than I expected. For a medium, it's not all that firm, which makes crashing down on it easy, but also makes pinging off of it as a ride take a bit more effort. The bell is on the small side but this isn't a problem, although you do have to strike it fairly hard to get a good chime out. In terms of sound, this cymbal is VERY resonant, which can make strikes start to blend together. Riding on it sounds pretty good and crashing is definately more of a drawn-out washing crash instead of a PSH. I'm so far liking it but not loving it. Interestingly, I had a friend's 20" B8 medium ride at my house for a while, and all things considered, actually liked that as a ride a bit more, it was more pingy and less washy. But I don't want to leave too bad a taste in your mouth with this review. I suggest you to try it yourself, it definately is a good value either way.

Its okay

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

This cymbal wasn't something that I would call great. its good, but thats it. I hear a lot of good things from the xs20 line, but i didn't like the ride much due to its lack of bell and its washiness. I did however manage to take some washiness away by adding two strips of duct tape on the back of the cymbal. I have had it for a couple of years, but i think that there are a lot of better rides out on the market.

Clear, Mellow, Gold!

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

First Sabian for me, a life-long Zildjian player. Tested side by side in GC's cymbal room with ZHT, and there was NO comparison. The Xs20 is clear and musical, mellow without being too dark. Ounce for ounce, the best sounding ride cymbal in it's price range! Also, once I got it on my kit, I also makes for a cool, full-bodied crash. The brilliant finish is icing on the cake.

Worth the money

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

A great ride for any drummer really. It's priced so that a beginner that knows they want to stick with it can afford it and use for many years to come. I've had this cymbal for at least 4 years now and it's served me well through my musical endeavors. Only now am I even thinking of a new cymbal but only because my tastes have changed. Over all I would highly recommend anything in the XS20 line but this ride is the foremost of those.

An amazing ride!

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

I got this ride for my birthday and I've still had it for about two years. It has a nice controlled ring to it and the bell will cut through anything for how small it is. For a while I was thinking about buying another ride but after looking around I think I'm gonna stick with this ride for a long time. Awesome job Sabian!

Excellent Workhorse Ride

By DJ Hritz

from Sharon, PA

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

I have owned this cymbal. Having had a range of Paiste, Zildjian A and K, and Sabian, this ride is an amazing versatile ride. It is clean ping with a nice decay. You can ride the edge, shank it, it stays under control . Don't let the small bell scare you away. For the cost, an excellent cymbal

Great Ride!

By Drummer4Christ

from Fallbrook, CA

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Medium Ride Cymbal:

I've had this cymbal for a year now. It's worth every dollar! The sound is very clear, with a huge range of volume. Though the bell is small, it cuts through really well. It's made out of the same stuff as the pro cymbals. I recommend it!
