Great Crash/Ride

By

from Lynn, MA

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Crash Ride Cymbal:

This is a great cymbal! The ride part has a great ping and the crash has crisp sound. I would recommend it to any drummer. Much better than the Zildjian ZBT Crash/Ride.

Alright crash, bad ride

By

from Plano, TX

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Crash Ride Cymbal:

The crash washes and the ride doesn't have a good ping. It's basically just a larger, slightly heavier crash, with a worse sound. If you want a crash, buy a crash, if you want a ride, buy a ride. If you like Sabian B8 crash/rides, this cymbal is nothing like it, a pass in my opinion.

Okay crash, not so hot ride

By

Comments about Sabian Xs20 Crash Ride Cymbal:

I bought this cymbal because I thought I needed to replace my Sabian B8 crash/ride with another crash/ride. For the model, the 18" Sabian B8 crash/ride was really good. It crashed well, and it was a moderately good ride. I was disappointed with this one, because it crashed really washy and did not have a good enough 'ping' as a ride. It will give off a reasonable ting if you use plastic tips, but other than that, I would either recommend buying a ride, or just a crash. I have a 16" XS20 Medium thin, and just ordered a 16" rock crash they work better than the crash this cymbal can give you. Hope this helps!
