Comments about Sabian Vault Artisan Medium Ride:

The twenty inch version of this ride is everything I could want it a ride. It's versatile enough to go from a controlled jazz ride when playing up-tempo swing to a killer rock ride that keeps loud definition and has a killer bell. And for a heavier version, mine has an interesting crash that blends for musical accents. Only keep in mind that individual Artisans make this ride, so they will be different from each other, unlike machine made cymbal lines. So you know you're going to get a good ride with one or two qualities that are uniquely special for that cymbal. Worth the money if you earn it with your craft and desire the BEST sound.

    Great jazz ride cymbal

Comments about Sabian Vault Artisan Medium Ride:

I tested this cymbal using spectral analysis and published the results at It is a very fine ride cymbal, but mainly for jazz use, as it does not have a strong ping. But the wash is beautiful. It compares favorably with the Sabian HHX Legacy ride cymbal.

    Best Ride Ever!!!

Comments about Sabian Vault Artisan Medium Ride:

This is hands-down the best ride I've ever heard! It also makes one killer crash cymbal. The ride has enough wash and not too much ping, which makes it an excellent ride! The only problem I have with it is the bell size. This cymbal actually makes a better crash than a ride! This cymbal is a little expensive, but it is an awesome sounding ride/crash!

This ride is just awsome, period!

Comments about Sabian Vault Artisan Medium Ride:

I first purchased this ride with one thing in mind, versatility, and man, it delivered. I play alot of jazz, but a dece amount of roc on the side tow, and with rock, you can crash your way home with projection and clarity with this ride, and ride out thie bow with enough clarity to be heard. For jazz, its a great all round cymbal; enough cut and volume for big band stuff, yet versatile enough for small ensemble work. A good bell for latin stuff, and a beautiful hot shimmering tone that is reminiscent of old times, but fiery with new modern sound. It works great with the light model 20 or 22 inches, or any other left side ride that you have...just awesome...only the zildjian constantinople series matches it. Beauty!!

    Sabian steps into the past...

    By Jroe238

Comments about Sabian Vault Artisan Medium Ride:

Having won countless awards and praises from peers and prominent industry figureheads for their revolutionary HHX hammering process, HHXplosion crashes, and HHX Evolution series, Sabian is proving to the drumming world that they're not just another sheet bronze factory. This relatively new (as far as cymbal companies go) family of artists and manufacturers have collaborated together once again to combine their innovation with cymbal-making's oldest traditions to create a phenominal ride that not only projects well-defined sticking notes that cut through any modern rock mix, but shimmers with warmth and tone when struck as a crash. Prior to playing this cymbal, I found myself constantly looking for "that ride;" the all-important cornerstone of any cymbal setup. I have tried various cymbals: from Zildjian K Customs to Paiste 2002's, Innovations, and Dimensions, as well as Sabian's AA and AAX series, and have never encountered any that could be considered this cymbal's equal, aesthetically or sonically. Perfection is worth every penny.
