Overview

Sabian SR2 is a new concept in cymbals.

These cymbals are used, returned, or refurbished cymbals that Sabian receives through inventory swaps, trades, exchanges. They are given their own unique surface look and logo and consist mainly of high-quality pre-played Sabian cymbals, including those played by major Sabian artists, returned from consignments, reviewed in magazines, displayed at trade shows, or even cymbals that came through the production process with slight blemishes that ultimately disappear with the refinishing process.

Each cymbal must meet specific sound requirements before being considered for the SR2 line. Once those requirements are met, each cymbal is cleaned and then the SR2 finish is applied.

Sabian SR2 cymbals have their own logo and a unique look, in order to clearly distinguish them from their first-run cymbal lines. Sabian believes it is very important for you to know exactly what you're getting when you buy an SR2, so these cymbals have their own special identity to clearly identify them as reconditioned cymbals.

All of the cymbals are cast B20 product, but there is no differentiation by series at all, so this thin crash cymbal could have started as an AA, AAX, HH, HHX, or Vault. The Sabian SR2s are only designated by size and weight.

The SR2 14" Thin Crash and all cymbals within the Sabian SR2 series are priced based on size only, rather than on the series they were before reconditioning. They are identified only by size, and one of 3 weight categories. This thin crash cymbal is available to you at significantly less than a brand new Sabian would cost, and will not be covered by any warranty through Sabian.

Note: Available supply of Sabian SR2s will depend entirely on the amount of cymbals that are available for reconditioning. They will be available on a first come-first served basis. Since they are refurbished, they will only be available as they are received. There is no warranty through Sabian on the SR2 Series, since the cymbals are considered used; however, these cymbals can be returned and exchanged through our return policy.

WOW!!!

By Evans Aki

from Vancouver, WA

I've been playing the Sabian B8 series now for the past six years and I've been in the process of upgrading, though keeping within a budget that I can afford. And in browsing Sabian Cymbals on this website, I was stunned to find this. At first, I thought, "No way. This can't be right. You've got to be kidding me." So I decided to give it a try. I bought the 19" SR2 Thin Crash. And you know what? I absolutely LOVE it. We're talking TOP QUALITY B20 Bronze for only the price. So for drummers looking to do some major upgrades and want to stay within your budget, check out these cymbals. Give them a try. I can promise you that you'll be glad you did. I'm going to be keeping my eyes open to see if there's more of these cymbals.

WHO KNEW........A QUALITY USED CYMBAL

By Ed

from Northern California

Yeah sure, I was a little nervous about spending money on a used cymbal but Sabian did a really cool thing by relathing and rebranding these cymbals. For the price, I got a really nice sounding crash cymbal, in fact, I think it sounds better than my AAX thin crash which I paid a lot more for. I was hoping to keep this little secret just for me, but I guess you guys ought to know too. It might be a matter of dumb luck, but I got a really nice sounding cymbal for cheap; might even get another one.
