Obviously Made For Beginners...

By Freddy Morando

from Florida

I would only recommend this cymbal to a beginner someone who has only been playing maybe a few months and hasn't really had their first decent set of cymbals...I got this in a box set with a 16" Medium Crash, 18" Thin Crash, and a pair of 14" Hi-Hats. Right out of the box I was impressed but after about a month of using this cymbal it lost it's touch that ping that it had the first session I had with it quickly faded away as I played on it more. Now it just rings too much after I hit it, making it difficult to play with. I tried placing half a moon gel on it and it didn't help much. So I would suggest to anyone thinking about buying this cymbal spend the extra 100 bucks and get the APX ride, you won't be disappointed.

Rides are always ...

By Thrash_44

from California

Rides are always expensive. Untill you come across this baby. Its very affordable, and every drumset needs a ride if you don't have one already. I like the sound it has, and it feels heavy and durable. I play thrash metal and I use the bell in punk beats sometimes and it sounds great. Overall, great ride for a low price if your on a limited budget, you can't find rides this cheap very often.

What a let down...

By Matthew Burch

from Tioga, TX

I was expecting so much more from Sabian, but they have let me down, as they have many others with this B8 line. It is amazing for beginners, but nor for anyone beyond beginner. Within about 7 or 8 months, the cymbal becomes very rusted, especially if you mute it a lot, and it doesn't even resemble the sound a ride should make. Save your money for something better...

Great for the price

By TheKloonge12

You can't beat this price. The B8 Ride is awesome for beginners. Clean, crisp sound. Great addition to a new drumset. I've had mine for 5 years and I still use it. It is a good buy
