Decent Accent Crash

By Matt McCarthy

from South Bend

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

This is a pretty good cymbal overall, but it's limited as far as styles it suits. It is very heavy, and works best for metal and hard rock. I use it with ZBT's which are much thinner, but when I use as an accent such as a splash or chinese, it works out much better. If you're a loud player, go for it. If you're a softer, quieter, or less "metal" player, you might not want this to be your first crash. Overall though, good cymbal.

Sabian does it again!!!!

By Harley-Rocking-Homer

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

My First set of cymbals I ever bought for my kit was Sabian B8's, and My kit is still Decked out with all Sabian B8's Because they take a pounding, and have a great sound for the value. Well I bought this 19" Rock Crash to add to the drive, and I LOVE IT!!! Very bright, explosive sound. A great addition to my kit, and in my opinion, yours too! Another thing I like about Sabian is if you go to their website, you can choose a cymbal you want to hear, and it will play a sound bite. So you can hear it before you order it. I did that before ordering this one, and it really sounded better than the bite. I almost bought the AAX model, but when I compared the 2 sound bites, the B8 Sounded better to me, and it was half the price. Great, explosive sound for a great value. Thanks Sabian.

Excellent Cymbal!

By Mr.Anderson5150

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I own a 16" version of this cymbal and, in my opinion, it's the best crash cymbal I've ever heard. The one I have is older than I am (it was my father's) and it's never bent or cracked in the many years he used it, or while been using it. And, here's the best part, it's cheap! More bang for your buck!

Good cymbal for a cheap budget

By Brett Siples

from Brazil, IN

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I bought this cymbal at a local music store because I got a good deal on it and I need another 18" crash. I didnt think it would be as great as it is but man does it rock. Its my second main crash. I would encourage anyone to buy it. Sabian all the way!

Great for beginners

By TheKloonge12

from Dayton, OH

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

The B8 Crash is a great cymbal for people starting off. They sound alot better than the cymbals that come with drumsets. If you're buying a new beginner's drumset, these cymbals will make the set sound awesome. Great tone for the price!

Great crash cymbal!

By expiredmomentum

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

My starting set only came with a crash/ride cymbal, so I decided to upgrade and get a crash cymbal. I chose the Sabian B8 crash and am very pleased with my decision. I even bought the cymbal slightly used and am still satisfied. The cymbal produces a great tone and I suggest it to everyone needing a quality crash cymbal!

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

Amazing symbol; I just got the 20 inch in the mail. It's bright, sounds amazing as a ride, the bell is indescribable. Very definate & will definately blast through bass & guitars. If you're lookng for a larger sort of crash for chorus's etc. THIS is exactly what you want. Also, because it's a B8 it won't break after a month, it'll last for years. If you're looking for something smaller though, try the B8 18" sabian crash/ride. Another amazing symbol for the price.

Delightful

By Captain America

from Madison, CT

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

These are definitely a good choice for beginners. Sure there are alot of better cymbals out there, but if you're just playing for fun or just a small garage band than these are good. They do show blemishes but who cares. They are very responsive and a bit too loud for my neighborhood. But that's a good thing. for me, not the neighbors.

Great cymbal!

By MexicanMetalHead2012

from California

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I really only got this cymbal beacuse I heard it was sturdy, and that's what a metal drummer needs. I didn't expect such a great cymbal. I got this in the 18 inch, pretty loud and sounds good with chokes. Get it!!!!

Not the best low end cymbal

By TVTjoey

from Orange, CA

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

Great sounding cymbal for the price. Not very durable though. i cracked mine within 4 months of playing my 18". feels pretty heavy nd sturdy, but if u continuously pump ur cymbals this one will not last. Like someone else said, its an alright accent cymbal. if u play lightly the cymbal wont open up as much tho, or sound as nice IMO Paiste lower end cymbals i think are maybe a bit more expensive, but are much more durable. they sound just as good, if not substantially better, depending how much more ur willing to spend. its a good investment tho. PST5 are amazing.

Great Cymbal, Great Price

By Your Mom

from Fremont, California

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

This is a great cymbal. The price is cheap, but not the cymbal. It's great for starter cymbals or if you can't afford "great" cymbals. Even pros use these. Buy these amazing cymbals!!

The Sound is Great for the Price

By Alexander

from Washington

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

Bought an 18" recently, and it is a fairly heavy cymbal. But that's just how you want it! It sounds great when you tap it lightly with a nice ring to it, and when you smash it, it releases an epic wall of heavy crash tones that have power behind them. The sound is great for playing along (or playing your own) metal/rock pieces. It has a very nice range that just flows out like a wave of sound, for the price you can't get a better crash. Easily recommended to people upgrading their cymbals for the first time.

Just what I was looking for

By Josh Makieve

from Rocklin, CA

Comments about Sabian B8 Series Rock Crash Cymbal:

I'm a new drummer ( I bought my first set in November) and I was looking for a crash cymbal. I'm a pretty heavy hitter so I was looking for something a little bit more solid than a thin or medium crash. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It sounds how I wanted it to. It's just great. I don't have much to compare it to other than my friend's Paiste 5 18" thin crash but in my opinion this is more suited to my style than his is.
