I own the 16" version, and it sounds fantastic when used with a rock set. I own a Pearl Export set and B8 high hats, crash ride, and china, and this fits in perfectly with the rest. This is not quite as bright as the more expensive crashes, but its well worth the money and works great as a beginner cymbal.

in the B8 line of cymbals ive owned about five or so. the crashes at first kinda make you wonder if you want it. but eventually they grow on you. i suggest that when trying these out you stand on the other side of the room while a friend or clerk plays it, youll get a better understanding of what the sonic characteristics these have to offer. the cymbals worked great at cutting through my guitarists but sadly they didnt last long, at least for me, about 4 months. i tend to bash my cymbals. but theyve stood the test of less...agressive...players i know. overall a good buy.these are a good place to start while builing your taste's in metal

Bright!

By ELIJAH CARMER

from Southport IN

I love my Sabian B8. Yes, it is not a high end cymbal, but it sounds great as a bright crash. The only downside is that it does not sound well for rolls with drumsticks. Mallet rolls do sound great on it though. I have used this in many different styles.

Amazing!!!

By Aaron

from San Gabriel, California

I love this cymbal, it is brite and crisp when you hit it. it can easily break through any other instruments being played so its perfect for rock players and the price is perfect compared to the quality of this cymbal.

eh..........

By brodice

i'm sorry but you can buy this and you are on a budget, buy the rock crash. much better and it sounds EXACTLY the same, but it's louder and sustains longer. don't waste your money on this. there are much better cymbals for the same price.

Great Cymbal

By coreyXXXbpm

from Rio Linda, CA

I bought 16" version of this cymbal almost 2 years ago, and i've loved it ever since. I hit kinda light, so if there a history of these things cracking, i wouldnt doubt it. its got a hard to discribe tone, it's alittle different, but you will grow into it. I would recomend it to any beginner, or someone on a low budget (im on a low budget) but if you have money, and need a PERFECT sound, spend the extra money on something else. but all in all, a great cymbal

An ok rock crash but nothing else!

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

For a rock crash this one is just ok. but for anything else it is horrible. the only way you can get a halfway decent sound out of it is by doing rim shots, you can't just tap it and get good sound. I would not recomend this cymbal for anyone, even beginers. so if you are a beginer you might want to go with the Zildjian ZBT instead.
