The Sabian B8 18" china is a nice part of my kit and by far the loudest. The sound is very nice with tons of vibration and resonance, so much to the point it could rival a small gong. I've read about a pro drummer for a mainstream metal band actually using an 18" B8 China for its powerful sound. B8s are very thick, tough cymbals and this china is no different. I've owned one for 2 years and have had no problems with cracking or warping. This cymbal sounds great, cuts through any sound, and can take a beating. Great cymbal at a great price.

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

Personally I wouldn't buy cheap cymbals but I was in need and was not disapointed. It's pretty rad for the price. Better than some 250+ Cymbals

    pretty good!

    By Drake Rice

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

when I bought i was expecting this beginner sound, but instead i sounded like it was a Zildjan K, or Sabian HHX, something high quality, it's a great deal. just it is really loud, so unless you are playing in a huge hall or something it is not the best dynamics wise, really good sound though.

    very durable cymbal

    By Katherine Hudson

    from Virginia

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

its good for the price and the durability it has, but if youre after a better tone id say go ahead and spend the money and get a higher line, or buy wuhan chinas if you have the money to replace them when they break (and they will)
great for the price, but still a beginger cymbal and nothing else
the best thing about this cymbal id say is its durablity...I use it as my practice china and then strap up my Wuhan 18" for live shows, Im a breakdown drummer in a hardcore band and I dont recomend this cymbal for breakdowns, its better for accents in my opinion. the wuhan 18 is much better for a thrashy breakdown sound
its well worth the money if youre on a budget and want something that will last, but if youre lookin for sound quality and not too worried about money get several wuhan 18" or just go ahead and get the AAXtreme or Zildjian oreintal...itd be worth the money

    Very full sound

    By Dylan Beam

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

I've had it for a few months, it hasn't broken and I'm a really hard hitter. The sound fills the room fast and has very long sustain. It's dirty and very aggressive, but the bite is small and it sustains and lot more than any other china I've seen. Test it before you buy it, it's not a normal china
It's a cymbal, doesn't realy have features. You hit it like any other cymbal.
It hasn't scratched or sracked or anything. I love the sound it makes, but it might not be right for you. My advise for buying this cymbal like any other cymbal, test it out or at least listen to it online first.
Very inexpensive for a china, and just what I needed soundwise. It isn't THE best cymbal in the world, but it is definitely the loudest and most aggressive cymbal on my set

Very Loud For a Little Price

    By Alexander

    from Washington

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

I got this bad boy about a month ago, and let me tell you, it is loud. It's so loud that I have a hard time hitting it full force without feeling bad for my neighbors. The sound is very low, and very Chinese, just as it's supposed to be. If you're going to get your first Chinese, and you want it to scream out, get this one and save some wallet lining. Sounds great when you smash it slowly with really fast double bass breakdowns :D

    Pretty good

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

This cymbal is pretty good if u just want a cheap cymbal that sounds good. However is does crack after a while so if u want it to keep lasting get the warranty. Over all tho its a pretty good cymbal. Its not a very big name B8 but who cares it doesnt matter just how u play it does.

    A good, LOUD china

    By Winged Wheel Watcher

    from Ohio

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

I bought one of these used for cheap. It's definitley a one dimensional cymbal. Don't expect subtlety with this one, and don't expect to use it an acoustic jazz gig. This thing is LOUD! It is much thicker than most chinas and it takes a very good whack to get it going, but when it does it really cuts through! I was looking for a china to really cut through the mix, and this did the trick where my darker trashier and more expensive "professional" chinas failed. This has a bright china sound, but with much longer sustain than most chinas. I like the fact that it has a regular (not square) bell, like a Zildjian Swish from back in the day. If you used this as a swish (with rivets installed) it would be a MONSTER! Those rivets would sustain for a long time! I might try that with another one, heck they are cheap enough to experiment with. Overall, a solid and LOUD china that will cut through any power chord.

    nothing more than crap

    By HollyWood-p8Sme

    from Arizona

Comments about Sabian B8 Chinese Cymbal:

I recently purchased this china with the intention of using it regularly. To my misfortune it turned out to be one of the worst purchases of my life. I advice anyone to not purchase this, spend the extra money to buy a higher quality china. This china resembled that of an extremely cheap thin crash that would be added with a general market drum set. Almost no trash, massive resonance...
