14" Studio Crash

By lee

from Bethlehem

Okay so I got a 14" studio crash because when I first heard it, it was bright, loud, and had a wonderful tone. I bought it and used it mainly for accents. It is a very unique cymbal. I have had it for around 6 years and its still sounds awesome. I use it frequently, so it has taken a beating. I Love It!!!

Best Crash I Own.

By Laura Olsen

from Florida

I have a few crashes, and this one is my all time favorite. I've had it for over a year and it sounds fantastic. It's a nice thin cymbal and has a quick decay. I think it is extremely versatile, and a must own.

i have always been a huge sabian fan always us the b8's and xs20 cymbals but i finally cracked those and decide it was time for some better sounding cymbals as a gig and studio drummer...i saw this cymbal on a drumset and try it out i found it great as an accent cymbal it complements great with the AA metal-x i got as well its cutting bright and goes well with just about any music if u are looking for a good accent cymbal used to accent with snare hits or things of that nature its perfect

A great crash at a great price

By Brendan

from Merritt Island, FL

I enjoy this crash quite a lot. It has a very clear, crisp crash sound that leaves a nice, warm overtone. I bought the 16" crash, myself. The only downside I've found is that it does not have a lot of weight to it, which makes it great for transport if you're an active gigger, but it isn't a crash that will hold its' place very well. By that, I mean it is very hard to ride this crash or use it in a beat context, it is much better suited for fills or minor accents. Overall, this is a great cymbal considering it's price.

This Is It!

By Brotha David C.

from Houston, TeXas

This Is It, Man!! This 16inch crash has it all in all. I love the shimmering glassy sound, and the fast sound. This cymbal sounds great live. It really cuts thru any style of music, from funk to punk. It has it! Then I have it pared with an 18inch Zildjian A Custom Projection Crash, they make a great team! BUY IT!!

Awesome Cymbal

By somedrummerguy

from Clackamas, Oregon

I bought a 14" and 17" aax studio crash on craigslist about a year back. These two are some of the favorite cymbals I've ever used. They sound and look amazing. The only problem is that they've started some keyholing, and the 14" has a crack around the rim. Thankfully it doesn't effect the sound. If you're especially a hard hitter you might want a thicker cymbal, or at least not ride on these all the time. When the time comes, I'll definitely buy more.

Sound is what matters

By TheKloonge12

from Dayton, OH

Sound is what matters, and this AAX has it! The cymbal gives off a resonating masterpiece. I've had this cymbal for 5 years. It's crystal clear and perfect for rock music. If your looking for a cymbal that gives you amazing live sound, this is the one.

Great versatile crash!

By Robert Runolfsson

from Iceland

I have the 17" model and it's beautiful! Warm with glassy overtones great at any volume. Thin crash with small bell to secure that dark warm sound.

A truly nice choice!!

By R Braze

from Orlando, Fl

A very nice, crisp sound. Great decay rate and nice attack. A good solid punch when needed but also has a great responce to cymbal rolls when you need good dynamic control. I have used this in the studio and on stage. It has always performed nicely. Gives a bit more sustain than a 14" cymbal and not as much continuing ring (or overtones) as a 16". Excelent choice for jazz or fusion applications. I own it and I live it!
