Great versatility

By Garth Noyes

from Lomita , California

I just purchased a Sabian 20" AAX dark crash and it is my primary RIDE cymbal for most of the music I play. Rock Punk Rock, Country Rock and Hillbilly Rock. Its dark tone short sustain and heavy crash characteristics plus a great Bell that has great tone and projection make this an extremely versatile cymbal. Another great Sabian cymbal.

AAX 19" Dark Crash = Versatility!

By Joshua Markley

from Virginia Beach, VA

I bought a 19" AAX Dark Crash to add to my set and bring a great cymbal to swell and have that darker, big crash to balance out my 18" AAX Explosion Crash, and boy did it. Going just by sound bytes on Sabian's website, I bought this cymbal and it is now my favorite. No matter what set-up I go with, this one is always part of my kit!

perfect for rock or worship

By billy

from Henderson, NV

i use an 18" version at my church (playing contemporary worship music which typically calls for rock drumming) along side a 17" a custom projection crash. its a beast, it cuts through with a really rich low-pitch sound. i don't think i'd recomend getting smaller than an 18" though that's probably putting it out of it's element.

Great cymbal but...

By Mike

from I dont want you to stalk me!!!

It is realy low pitch. If it is you. 2nd crash cymbal then it is great. It is focused it cuts through everything and sounds great. Yet if this is your first crash, go test it out.

AAX Dark Crash

By balding77

from texas

I wasnt sure whether or not i really needed a 2nd crash. My main crash is a Zildjian Custom Projection 17. The Sabian AAX 19 goes really well with this. Its good low end, good resonance, but not too much sustain. Works well for build ups and riding the crash without having to worry about it being too loud. Has a good vintage sound if you ride it.

14 inch crash

By Cardo Rivea

from Silver spring

This is the best cymbal ever. Im getting the 16 inch crash next. If you are looking for a 14 cymbal just buy this one. This one is good for rock or maybe even metal beats. For beginers....buy this this is the good quality.

18' Dark Crash

By Kevin

from Santa Ana, Ca

This cymbal is deffinatly well worth the money! If you are looking for a cymbal with a dark sound, but bright enough to stand out in the heaviest of tone, you have found it! It is a cymbal that is capable of that perfect crash or deep sound you need for a breakdown. Worrying if it will be heard is not something to worry about. I can play it at a show without it being miked and it can still be heard in the crowd through the band. It has a great and a quick dark response. Perfect crash for the metal drummers.
