This is only my second ride, but I'm never getting a third! This is the most durable, best sounding ride on the market. If your willing to spend a shiny penny for this shiny ride, go for it. The bell has a better sound then a mega bell. The bow has a short sustain, but not too short. I tried and tested many rides over all brands, and this one stood out as the best. I also have other AAX cymbals and this fits in perfectly. Long story short; get this ride!

I've been playing a Paiste 602 21" ride since 1975. Thought I wouldlike to try something a little more modern and cuttin. I tried numerous 21" rides at my local GC and decided on this Sabian AAX Dry Bell Ride. Used this on my gig and found that it had a very high pitched feedback to it. I even went so far as to shut all my mics off and the darn thing just kept up with this high pitched feedback. I've never had a cymbal do this before. I'm now going to spend more money and time to try and find a different 21" ride cause this thing just ain't cutting it !

Terrific Ride Cymbal.

By GARRISON TURNER

from Goose Creek, SC

There are not enough great things to say about this ride, but I'll try: The cymbal is the perfect amount of dry, with no outrageous overtones. It shimmers beautifully without being washy. The stick definition is incredible. The bell is not large but you wouldn't know it from the piercing sound it puts out. It is warm, pleasant, bright and VERY controllable. It isn't necessarily great for crashing, but it certainly doesn't punish you for do so (meaning, NO nasty undertones or overtones if you crash on it). The one thing this cymbal is NOT: LOUD!!! This cymbal is terrific for medium or low volume situations. It doens't have huge projection, but the stick definition certainly comes through. I absolutely love this cymbal (and I'm not usually a Sabian guy!) You really can't go wrong with this puppy.

Good for every style of music

By Ricardo Cavallo

from New York New York

Cymbals are like audio speakers. Everyone has an opinion of what is best. My opinion is based on many years of real playing, both in a recording studios, actual gigging (very small venues to thousands in huge outdoor venues). You will find lots of great cymbals around. I am not brand loyal at all. I play what sounds good to me. My kit consists of Paiste, Zildjian, and for the last 10 months Sabian. The 21" AAX Raw Bell Dry Ride is an outstanding value. I had borrowed a 1980's 20" Zildjian Heavy K Ride from a friend for a couple of years, and loved it. Unfortunately I had to give it back because he didn't want to sell it to me. At that point I was in search of a similar cymbal. Went to a local Guitar Center and looked around and when I hit this cymbal, I knew right away it was coming home with me. The bell is outstanding, the wash is great, stick definition brilliant. Based on the prices I see for comparable Zildjians the Sabian is 100 bucks or even more less! But you don't get less at all. These are great values, with the money you save you can get another small cymbal or new drum heads or a great lunch in NYC. Dinner costs as much as the cymbal.

What a ride!

By Isaiah M

from Newport News Virginia

I went in the store two weeks ago and played a set that just so happened to include this ride. Immediately, I fell in love with the sharp bell. I was looking for an overall good ride, so I tried the rest of the cymbal and was amazed. It took me on a RIDE to musical ecstasy. Needless to say, I purchased the ride two weeks later. It cuts through the music so effortlessly. It is THE BEST ride I've ever played.

Precision and performance unlike anything I've heard.

By Walter Porter

from Collinsville, VA

I went into Guitar Center today looking for a new ride. I've always been in favor of Sabian, as the rest of my set consists of them, but was willing to look for whatever fit my taste best. After comparing this cymbal to several other rides (including a Zildjian A Custom), I was definitely set on picking this up. The bell is incredibly precise and bright, but it doesn't kill your eardrums. Every segment from the bow up to the bell offers a new sound that cuts straight through the music with excellent precision. The wash is just enough to fill in the music, but not too much to hear each hit with the tip of your stick. The crash from the bow is powerful and full as well, which is very nice. Do yourself a favor and pick this monster up immediately.

By zach

i love this ride. the bell is especially good for funk and latin jazz but metal too. i bought it 3 weeks after a major surgery and i didnt feel too good but i dont regret buying it. the only thing i dont like is that it rings for a while. other than that its an amazing ride. its the best RBDR from sabian next to the HH. get it!

WOW

By Billy

from Henderson, NV

This is the sweetest ride i have ever owned. The tone is perfect, the stick definition is perfect, THE BELL IS PERFECT, and the size is perfect. ONE THING that isn't perfect; however, is the projection. It lacks. so if you want massive volume from your ride un-mic'ed, go for something else, probably with a lighter weight. Oh yeah, this thing's a BEAST! it weighs easily as much as two Zildjian A medium rides. seriously. I LOVE IT
