The Sabian AA Medium Hi-Hats combines bright pedal 'chick' and crisp, full-bodied sticking with solid wash when open. Sabian Brilliant finish cymbals are highly buffed and preserved under a clear protective lacquer coating.
AA cymbals combine musicality and energy for sounds that are bright, bold and explosive. Reinforced with the power and strength of multi-rolled, secret-process bronze shaped under 75 tons of hydraulic pressure. Cool for retro, right for now, these highly durable cymbals move a lot of air in any kind of music.

Comments about Sabian AA Medium Hi-Hats Brilliant:
These hi hats represent the historical standard for 14" hats. They are versatile, but not without some unique character to them. The pedal chick is crisp, and works well enough for either jazz or rock. With sticks, the response is equally dynamic. Some cymbals make you forget that you're hitting a piece of metal, these one don't. They have a more metallic than average sound to them, which could be either a good or bad thing depending on your taste. I like it, but some who are looking for a very controlled sound (especially in the studio) might not. I like bright cymbals, so they're a bit lower pitched than I'd like to see, but I think most people wouldn't see the same problem. Overall, if you're looking for a versatile pair of hats to play multiple genres with these will work. The only people who should look elsewhere are those looking to capture one really specific stylistic sound, these will probably be too broad for your liking.
