I bought this cymbal because I had already spent almost all of my money in expensive cymbals, so I was really looking to downgrade a little bit for the china. I tested a lot of cymbals AAs, AAXs, Zildjians, but they were all too bright and expensive. I found the XS20 18" Chinese, I tried it out, and it was amazing! I love it, its a thin cymbal, and it has a dark tone. I play it with HHXs Hand Hammered and AAXs and it sounds great.
First of all, I have to say that I love this china. It's perfect for any style. You can crash it or ride it (I prefer crashing). It's great for the price. It decays really quickly, but not too quickly. It has a deep, dark tone and it projects a medium level of noise. I suggest this cymbal to anyone who wants to add something new and interesting to their kit.
This is an amazing cymbal. It's very loud, but also very trashy. I just bought it at their store today(3-8-09), and it has played just fine. If you are any level of drummer, then I recommend this cymbal for you.
