Mike Portnoy Max Splash cymbals are odd-size models that respond with rapid, glassy, and cutting penetration for fast and punchy accenting.
I bought this splash in a 9" to replace an old 10" B8 which got demolished at a gig a long time ago. I have to say that this is the best splash of all time. It is moist with a great clear-cut definition, and the finish is beautiful. Both the 7" and 9" are very moist and crisp, but the 11" is a little wilder. Rock Hard.

If you're lookign for that splashy, watery sound, then this is the right splash. It has no trashiness in its tone, and it's very bright with almost instant decay. I have the 9" and love it!

I bought a 9" version of this splash and it sounds great! It has a fast decay and has a bit of a trashy edge to it but nevertheless sounds awesome. It's great for accents in fills or beats and adds a nice sound to any set-up.
