  • Great for removing fingerprinting and light dirt.

As reviewed by CK on 9/9/2010

I just ran through a bottle of this while cleaning all of my cymbals. It is great for "light" cleaning, when your cymbals are showing fingerprinting and minor dirt. It has some power and you'll know there is something working if you make the mistake of using it in an enclosed room. The fumes are really strong. My recommendations: 1) Make sure you spray the cymbal surface until it is COMPLETELY WET. You can take a glove or squeegie to push the cleaner into little areas that you missed but make sure you cover the entire surface until it is totally wet. If you leave dry areas, they will show as a darker color after you wipe off the cleaner. No bueno. It will remove a light layer of your logos, but not the entire label. Just be gentle when going over your logos and you should be fine. 2) Leave it on for 20 or 30 seconds or so but DO NOT LET IT DRY on the cymbal. 3) Have 2 cloths ready for wiping - a big terry cloth towel for getting most of the wetness off, then a second soft towel for light buffing once the cymbal is mostly dry. I also use 2 for laying the cymbal on while cleaning, then another for the buffing phase. 4) Once the cymbal is dry, give it a second very light buff and you should see any residual product come off, giving a slightly better shine. This product didn't remove real corrosion or heavy aging - try Groove Juice for that.

  • not that great.

As reviewed by Mitch Ruibal on 3/21/2007

If you have brilliant finish sabian cymbals I recommend you not get this unless you feel like cleaning your cybmals every month because the cleaner turns them orange. It cleans cymbals very well but its like they put something in it to turn your cymbals orange. Better get about 5 bottles.

  • Not a good look

As reviewed by MarcusJ on 8/11/2008

Okay I play Sabian cymbals, and obviously why not buy the Sabian Cymbal Cleaner right? Well, yea I did, and after the second time using it, I encountered a tragic problem. The cymbals turn orange!! I mean it almost looks like grease on your cymbals. It not only "oranged" up my brilliant finish, but my XS20 ride and crash. I know Mike Portnoy's uses this, so I mean you wouldn't think it has any problem as big as this right? Think again, don't buy this. As honest conclusion I can give.
