  • You might call me crazy, but........

As reviewed by J.D. on 12/10/2008

I use either all Zildjian A customs or Paiste signitures and I yet I still keep this cymbal in my set up. If you're looking for a crash/ride I wouldn't suggest this, but if you need a very durable, loud, and dark crash, this could be what you need. Yes there are better crashes out there, but even though I could easily get a "better" cymbal, I'd buy this one again if I cracked it. I've been jamming on this one for 3 years and not one crack or bend. I highly suggest it. Especially to begginers. Hope I convinced some one to buy a very nice cymbal. Peace.

  • B8 Crash/ Ride

As reviewed by Kevin on 8/14/2009

This is a great starter cymbal, i owned one for 3 and a half years. I recently bought an 18" B8 Medium Crash and it actually sounds the exact same as my crash ride so i had to buy a new ride cymbal. This cymbal is and excellent crash cymbal and sounds fine as a ride but it doesn't have much ping to it. Overall its a great cymbal but its a better crash than ride.

  • It really depends....

As reviewed by Adam on 7/31/2009

This cymbal (in my opinion) is truly a double edged blade.. It's good for the price obviously, and the quality of the crash part of it is decent, but you can't really use this as a reliable ride. If you're hitting it even just a little too hard, the ride sound will start to get a bit washed out by the crash. The bell on it could sound a bit better as well. But if you are really low on cash and need both, and you feel like you can get a little lower quality I'd go for this cymbal. It really just depends on your needs, standards, and budget for getting a new cymbal.
