Sabian APX Solid Ride Cymbal (108079765)

Was $229.00

Powerful with lots of cut!

The high-powered, high-definition response of the APX Solid Ride Cymbal is crisp, cutting, and clear, with a powerful bell ensuring maximum cut and clarity.

APX, a professional cymbal series, is from award-winning sound innovators: Sabian. The sheer attack of APX cuts through any music. To create this intensity, Sabian introduced new production processes that also result in a unique appearance for these cymbals. Featuring a 'High-Decibel' design APX cymbals sound super-bright, tonally tight, focused, and aggressive beyond belief to rip through rock-heavy grooves and blistering power chords like a laser through darkness. With the APX ride cymbal, nothing gets in your way.

APX ride cymbals are ideal for cutting through the raging guitars, heavy riffing and high-powered output of hard rock and heavy metal bands. Top drummers already playing APX include Ray Luzier (Korn), Neil Sanderson (Three Days Grace), George Kollias (Nile), John Kelly (Type-O Negative), and Rich Beddoe (Finger Eleven).

  • A new hybrid of Ride Cymbals.

As reviewed by Sean M. Walsh on 5/5/2008

I picked up my '22 '51 APX solid ride pretty long ago. It will be the only ride you will ever need to buy, it will literally last you a lifetime. The APX has amazing sound that can cut through the band like a knife through butter. The massive bell in the middle also sounds fantastic as well, and is really hard not to miss. The Ride is huge , and it may take up room but if you can find a way to fit it in with your set you will instantly fall in love with this true Sabian work of art!

  • Ping!

As reviewed by Brint on 10/7/2009

I bought this in a 22" to replace a 20" A series Medium Thin Zildjian and it was exactly what I'm looking for. Recorded and live, there is a focused "ping" that has a good sustain and will not go unnoticed! Doesn't have as good of a crash as the Zildjian A (probably better in the 20" version rather than my 22") but will still give you the projection and sound close to what you want when you really side-stick it. My favorite cymbal by far, and the best ride I have heard.
