Nice Hats

I've had these high-hats for about a year now. They are well worth the money.. They still sound perfect like they did when i got them.. The sound is very clean. I enjoy playing with them a lot.

Withstanding

I've owned a pair of 14" Sabian AAX Studio hats for about 12 years now, since being inspired in my adolescence by the crisp yet moderate sound of Jimmy Chamberlin's cymbals circa Siamese Dream. I'd argue that these hats remained considerably sharp for 8-9 of those years; also, overtime I had naively over-polished the hats with an industrial grade puddy from my father's business--if I had cleaned those hats gentler, I'll bet their quality would have lasted even longer. The hats are quite duller since their youth, but can certainly still perform in a mildly bright show (they're *tolerable*). If you're a beginning drummer, I'd highly recommend these hats as enduring and moderate enough to use in both a softer fusion/jazz realm and hard rock. Ultimately, if I could go back in time I think I would have chosen Sabian's AAX STAGE hi-hats because they have a bit more levity and rattle and probably would have produced a better performance in their later years (and I think those were the actual series of hats Chamberlin played on!...Woops!).
