This AAX Stage Crash is the perfect cymbal! If I could give it 6 stars I would! I?ve owned and played, quite hard at times, this cymbal for the last 4 years. A very loud crash when needed, and a very smooth, jazzy feel also, this all-purpose crash is perfect for any type of music. A good mix between heavy sounding and light sounding, this crash is perfect for just about any set. Superior stick articulation, and a superb warm yet bright tone, helps to add a sudden crescendo if needed, or a reliable crash to lay on in a beater fast solo. I would definitely buy this crash again, although ?cheaper? compared to the rest of the AAX line; I really find this cymbal to be the best one of the entire Sabian catalogue!
I bought a 16" AAX Stage Crash new but had been dropped and had two slight bends on the edges. Although not bad dents they were imperfections non-the-less. I went ahead and bought it anyway and I was NOT disappointed. This is one of my favorite cymbals. Even damaged this thing sings like nobodies business. Hit it lightly to get that shimmering tone or just smash it when you are rocking out and it sounds like glass. I love it. Buy this cymbal, you will not be disappointed.
I bought this cymbal about 2 years ago. Since the first time I played it, I absolutely loved the sound of the cymbal. This cymbal has a nice, bright, full sounding crash to it, yet it is warm and shimmery enough to ride lightly on. The cymbal is very versatile and it fairly priced. I would highly recommend purchasing, or at least trying out this cymbal.
