Pure, bright, sparkling sounds.

The Sabian AAX Series Studio Crash Cymbal has a thin design and small bell for quick response and tonally full, glassy, shimmering accents.

The AAX crash cymbal delivers pure, bright shimmering tones. Like stainless steel, AAX is cool, modern, and extremely efficient. Tap with your finger or thrash with a stick, Auto-Focus Response maximizes sensitivity, equalizes high- and low-pitch levels, and purifies sounds by filtering out conflicting overtones.

A great choice!

Sound is what matters, and this AAX has it! The cymbal gives off a resonating masterpiece. I've had this cymbal for 3 years. It's crystal clear and perfect for rock/metal music. If your looking for a cymbal that gives you amazing live sound, this is the one.

Awesome Cymbal

I bought a 14" and 17" aax studio crash on craigslist about a year back. These two are some of the favorite cymbals I've ever used. They sound and look amazing. The only problem is that they've started some keyholing, and the 14" has a crack around the rim. Thankfully it doesn't effect the sound. If you're especially a hard hitter you might want a thicker cymbal, or at least not ride on these all the time. When the time comes, I'll definitely buy more.

Great versatile crash!

I have the 17" model and it's beautiful! Warm with glassy overtones great at any volume. Thin crash with small bell to secure that dark warm sound.

A truly nice choice!!

A very nice, crisp sound. Great decay rate and nice attack. A good solid punch when needed but also has a great responce to cymbal rolls when you need good dynamic control. I have used this in the studio and on stage. It has always performed nicely. Gives a bit more sustain than a 14" cymbal and not as much continuing ring (or overtones) as a 16". Excelent choice for jazz or fusion applications. I own it and I live it!

The Best Cymbal Ever!!!!!!!

This Cymbal is the best deal on earth! I recommend it to all drum playres for its outstanding durability and tone. These amazing features not only save you much money but also improve the overall sound quality of your drumset. However The cymbal polish doesn't have much effect on the scratches and smudges on this cymbal.
