Ideal for those looking to transport heavy remote recording and sound reinforcement equipment, ranging from power amplifiers to signal processors, this SKB Roto Rolling Rack Case offers secure protection with the convenience of sturdy built-in wheels and a handle.
The Roto rolling rack features industrial-grade, steel-threaded rack rails (allowing nondestructive screw mount installation and removal) and full access rear lids. Rear rack rails are included which allows enhanced load capacity and stability, ideal for especially heavy-weighted power amplifier units.
The SKB Roto Rolling Racks are roto-molded of high impact LLDPE Polyethylene with inline wheels supporting heavy loads, a nearly indestructible low-profile injection molded telescoping cushion grip rubber-over-molded pull handle, and cushioned handle for carrying comfort. SKB's proprietary trigger-release latching system, with TSA-recognized-and-accepted recessed locking latches, enables you to securely lock the case and still have them inspected by airline security personnel and safely checked as luggage.

Purchased this to replace a heavier (and much larger) rolling 10U case. I use the 6U version to rack a power supply, wireless unit, 2 space guitar processor, and (for now) a blank 2U spacer. It works perfectly. Size-wise it is an easy carry if you are unable to roll it using the built in kick-back wheels. Be aware of the weight of the items you install. You can easily turn this into a two man lift if you don't. The retractable handle is decent but may be flimsy depending on how heavy the gear installed is. The latches on both the front and rear are very sturdy and easy to open/close. The lids are deep enough to allow me to leave my wireless antennaes in place which is nice. Both the front and rear have rails installed in case you had shallow items and want to double up spaces. Included hardware seems decent. I've been through many rack systems that include cheap screw systems that strip much too easy. Rails are straight and require no coaxing to load my gear into. Size was a little larger than expected but truthfully I didn't look at the measurements prior to ordering. Pros - Latching system - Full back lid (not a smaller/thin cable panel as in some other models) - Nice price point - Rails/hardware high quality - Built solid and will last Cons - Slightly large footprint - Handle for rolling is a little flimsy fully extended Overall...highly recommended !!
The case is great, plenty of room. I have a Crown Macro Tech 2402 and 3600 in it with a power conditioner and DBX Driverack. Everything fits good. The only problem is that the amps are so heavy that it is hard to carry. I think this rack is good for processing units or light weight amps... It does wheel fine but stairs are not an option.
This is a solid piece of gear. I just bought a digi 003 rack and I travel a lot. I was nervous at first because i thought i wouldn't find a quality piece to travel with and keep my rack safe. But Im really impressed with this piece. very sturdy.
