This case is just flat durable. I accidentally DROVE OVER this case in my Nissan Sentra and feared the worst... but my bass was fine! The case was bowed a little bit in one spot and had a couple cracks in it but it did not cave in and I can still close it just fine. That is amazing to me because most cases would probably have flattened and destroyed the bass inside. Besides durability, its big enough to hold my 5 string bass, plus strap, cord, etc. My only criticism is that it doesn't have a small compartment to hold the little stuff, but that's just being picky. If you want a strong case that does its job of protecting your bass, and that you can take anywhere, go for it.
Im currently on tour with two bass cases. One of the cases is one of those big and bulky road cases. The other case is the SKB 44. After lugging both cases in and out of clubs I have to say (hands down) that the SKB is the way to go. It is about half as heavy as my other one and just as durable. The case is very slim and light. I highly recommend this case to all bass players. As soon as I get back from tour Im ditching my bulky case and buying another SKB44.
This is one of the best cases you can buy for your bass! I own 5 of them! They fit my Fender Basses like a glove. They are rugged and built very well. You cannot buy a better bass case for the money.
