I have used SIT's for many years. I have also used a lot of other brands as well. I get less string breakage with them and the phenomenal thing is how well they stay in tune. Normally I put them on, tune them, check the tuning later and I literally do not have to tune them until the next time I replace them and I don't have locking tuners. I play a lot of blues leads and I really bend the strings. Sometimes they're a little hard to find but they are definitely worth the hunt.
I play a stratocaster (upgraded w/SCN's thank you very much) and I only use SIT strings. Perfect tone for Heavily distorted-humbucker-heads, AND for that vintage single coil blues/rock tone-freak. I don't have locking tuners or anything, but i still bend my heart out on these things, and they stay in tune. the only sketchy part is dropping the whammy, but that throws any string off. I've used Ernie Ball, not a good tone for me. My friend tried to get me to use DR's once, they have decent tone but they don't stay in tune at all. SIT's are the best strings i've ever played on, honestly.
A bunch of bands that I listen to use SIT strings. Bleeding Through, Every Time I Die, Protest the Hero, Norma JEan, etc. Their guitars have a great sound and SIT is a string company that i'm looking at. But, why hasn't anyone posted a comment or review of the strings? Does anyone use them aside from artists?
