Wasn't sure how stainless reeds would sound, but this low F sounds great. I'll probably be replacing a B flat next and I'll try the Seydel there, as well. Listen, if this baby has the life span Seydel claims it could be the last low F I'll ever need. That makes it well worth the extra money. Meanwhile, player-friendly features like rounded corners and comb slots show good attention to detail. I like this harp.

I've played the harmonica as an amateur for many years, but have never gotten into tweaking, correcting, repairing my harps. I needed a low F harp for a blues solo with my band, and ordered this Seydel. Out of the box, several of the high register draw reeds do not play or barely make a sound. I've bought literally hundreds of Hohner harps, some Lee Oskars, and I've never run into this. Very disappointed in what is a pricey harp for me. I have no interest in taking it apart and trying to make it work, nor should I have to do that.

Love the tone, great right out of the box. Way better than the standard F when playing with others in key of C in the cross harp style. Easy on the ears!

I was a Hohner endorsee for 40 years . Some are good and some are not so good. This brand is a step up, but not all are equal.

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

This harp has excellent tone. I was tired of the thin tone coming out of my special 20s. They feel heavier so maybe the extra heft gives it some bass. It seems like I can play faster because I don't have to drop my jaw all the way to the ground to get the tone I like. I do not use any effects but I am somehow able to achieve a tone that sounds over-driven with just my vocal mic. Some gigs I use a neck rack and the tone still holds up.

I play in several bands from Country to Rock to Blues....I have one of all of the popular Harp Makers...The Sessions play better out of the box than any ...the Crossover is close but the tone is not as good IMO...I will say that there are many good cheaper harps if you are at a novice level....but at an advance level you will definitely appreciate the ease of playing and the super tone.

The harmonica sounds and plays great. It costs a lot, presumably because the reeds are stainless steel and are supposed to last a lot longer. If they last as long as advertised, the harmonica will be a great value.
