The S.E. Shires Vintage New York trombone is an ideal instrument for any professional musician or advanced student. Inspired by the classic New York and Mt. Vernon bells, this one-piece bell is constructed with the broader TII taper and features a large, rich, warm sound. The gold-brass bell combines many of the characteristics of yellow and red brass for a very balanced and flexible sound throughout the range of dynamics. The yellow-brass, .547-bore, tenor handslide with bass crook provides a broad sound and open feel. Available only from S.E. Shires, the patented Tru-BoreTM valve design captures the free-blowing and even-responding characteristics of a straight large-bore tenor trombone, while maintaining consistent response between the open and engaged positions.
This instrument combines the best elements of classic New York and Mt. Vernon trombone design with the consistency, playability, and projection that has made S.E. Shires trombones the favorites of professionals the world over.
Recognized as a leader in brass instrument design and innovation, S.E. Shires Co. sets the benchmark for blending traditional craftsmanship with high-tech consistency and precision.
