This matched duet sounded great in my combo. Improved dynamics,headroom and slightly better mids/highs. Great value too. Much better matching process than sovtek uses.
Feeding one of these with an American Standard Stratocaster and a Crate V5 amp with a Celestion speaker in it. These tubes have a very pronounced attack, really punchy. The cleans are very warm with good dynamics and excellent sound through the whole gamut of frequencies. I cannot speak for or against the distortion because the V5 has a solid state op-amp and I'm not sure exactly how much it contributes to the distortion signal. All in all a better sounding tube than the sovtek that comes stock in these amps.
I ordered these to replace the stock ones in my Bugera V22. They work and sound amazing!! Way better than expected!
