I don't play alot so my fingers are sensitive when I do play. These strings are comfortable and give a great sound. I am not a fan of the buzzing sound that round wound strings make and these give a clean smooth beefy sound that I love to play. I recommend these to anyome who wants a good looking (black strings on a black bass look great) and good plying string.
I've been teaching my 13 year old granddaughter to play bass - we re-equipped her bass with these when she was having problems with the buzz and finder wear and tear caused by roundwounds. She loved them. I play their long scale cousins on my bass. They really are smooth, sound a lot like an acoustic bass, and are easy on the fingers - plus the black strings look hot on the basses.
